I once made a tune with a beep from Zebra's initialize patch using only automated Uhbiks for the rest. But what do you mean with "the smallest possible sound" from ACE? I guess you don't want to automate ACE to make a whole piece of music?

OK, thanx for the explanation. I'm not sure if ACE will serve you better than the tools you're already using. A quick test gave me some blips when I turned down the pulsewidth of a osc and such. I got blips with ~20 samples length. I think it's more a question of the value ranges of ACE than the modulations at sample rate. Theoretically the fastest blip would be 1 sample. Dunno how to do that right now. Hope that helps.

Why not just feed any sound through the filter and setup the filter env with:
A: small number
D: 0
S: 0
R: 0
A snappy env will get tiny clicks with any sound source (noise, saw, sine, triangle, etc).
