There's 4 instances of Diva on this little demo track, no other synths.
This isn't fully representative, since there's drum samples and effects, but I have to say, holy f**k this thing can sound sick.

Love the sounds!!
<ot> I notice you have some Occupy Chicago speeches up on soundcloud. I lived at the Portland Occupation for a month until it got busted... </ot>

Thanks, it was one of those "accidental awesome" things. I just happened to the turn the cutoff knob too quick and it screamed. I was like o.o and set up some automation on one instance, while replicating the same sort of sound using envelopes on another.pdxindy wrote:xybre wrote:There's 4 instances of Diva on this little demo track, no other synths.

<ot>My apartment is in Portland, OR actually. I haven't seen much of it since September though. I've been flying around for business (I'm on the airplane right now) and looking for an apartment in San Francisco. Gotta say I'll miss the rent, the skies, and just maybe the jaw-dropping number of gentlemen's clubs.

Think it may be useful to have some reference to a real moog. Now it might finally be possible to get these sounds.
Man in the mirror - Michael Jackson. Best minimoog bass I have ever heard. I think it is played by Michael Boddicker. Go to 1.40 for the best part.
Chick Corea: Minimoog solo
Pages: Soft minimoog lead
Manfred Mann: Blided by the light - minimoog glide and LFO action.
Manfred Manns earth band: Solo at 2.26
All the best

Some of my Diva presets thrown together to a small track: http://soundcloud.com/bronto-scorpio/diva-preset-test
It's nothing special. I just wanted to try how my presets "behave" in a real world situation (And found some things I had to change).
Everything is 100% Diva
Cheers

Oh yes!!! Absolutely agreed. You did it again. But I know what you mean that you're not fully there. But this is on a high level already. And your musical feeling puts these sounds into the right light. Actually it's the other way round but we're talking Diva here, so...Urs wrote:Very niceBronto Scorpio wrote:Some of my Diva presets thrown together to a small track: http://soundcloud.com/bronto-scorpio/diva-preset-test

Wow, you're not kidding. This is the best minimoog bass I've ever heard. Listen to the swipes at 2:54 and 4:03.gunnare wrote:Think it may be useful to have some reference to a real moog. Now it might finally be possible to get these sounds.

Oh, how nice! Very tasteful evolving automation. I'm glad I'm not "the only one" who makes these freaky presets with Diva. I didn't demo Shimmer but I guess quite some of that fun comes from Shimmer, right?
