Thanks!chacka wrote:Oh, how nice! Very tasteful evolving automation. I'm glad I'm not "the only one" who makes these freaky presets with Diva. I didn't demo Shimmer but I guess quite some of that fun comes from Shimmer, right?
Yep! A big part of the sound is Shimmer! I'll upload a dry version later

Most of it is the envelopes, I'm using the ADRs with long attack and delay times, tuned to match the rate I wanted it morph. By staggering the volume and filter transitions you can get a moving texture.chacka wrote:Deep! How did you do that?xybre wrote:One Diva, internal effects only.

The next big part is the shape mod. I was messing around earlier and I was like "damn I wish I could modulate the shape with an LFO.." and then I saw the controls for it right there in plain sight.
There's no voice stacking either, that was one of my challenges, I felt like that would be taking the easy way out.

from the DIVA FM thread here:
there are some more examples of sounds using crossmod in the other threadI've just done another little example of the crossmod
it's a kind of FM sound
starts with lotsa crossmod
then the crossmod is turned down by the modwheel
the sound is not stable throughout the whole range, but ...
DIVA crossmod
sound is vibration, vibration is life

Cheers
