Diva 64 bit?

We'll start testing the final download package, maybe from tonight. This will contain a 64-bit version for VST Win.
We've never had any substantial problem with 64 bit on Win, so I'm not expecting any trouble.
(the main issue is always the installation... need to work on that...)

Sounds great. Diva almost begs to make use of all that ram I installed (16 GB, w. W7 64 bit) I would think that would allow for the higher quality sound settings?

RAM is not really of much importance to Diva. You're looking at the wrong VSTi to fill your RAM, it's not a sampler. Kontakt would happily fill your RAM. But Diva, her sound quality is totally CPU related.

I thought exactly the same...EvilDragon wrote:RAM is not really of much importance to Diva. You're looking at the wrong VSTi to fill your RAM, it's not a sampler. Kontakt would happily fill your RAM. But Diva, her sound quality is totally CPU related.
The only things which makes sense for Diva is a faster CPU. Also with higher quality settings there should be no improvement with more RAM.

Not only for Diva, but for using vst(i)'s in general (except for samplers/romplers as mentioned)

Yep. I would go so far that for normal use a Quad Core CPU is the minimum configuration. My Core 2 Quad Q6600 was one of the first quad Cores and is almost 4 years old now and maybe has to be replaced with a faster one next year.Nielzie wrote:Make that a looooooot of senseIngonator wrote: The only things which makes sense for Diva is a faster CPU.

Thanks. I'm not getting more ram, I HAVE 16 Gb already. I just thought that Diva might run at higher quality settings if it could USE more ram because of a 64 bit version coming out. BTW-I'm getting a new CPU as well. Just have to decide what!
Cheers
