I've had this when switching rapidly (whilst the first patch is still sounding) from a stacked voice patch to a non-stacked patch. As with the Tyrell voice-stack bug, toggling Poly to Mono to Poly fixes it.pocvecem wrote:Sometimes one or more voices in Diva are silent after changing presets.

I vote for baning them. They look simply awful, and completely out of context. If you need to come with something different than what we had, please think again - this simply doesn't fit.hakey wrote:I vote for keeping them.EvilDragon wrote:Hey Urs. I don't think the dymo tape labels fit to any of the backgrounds of oscillators/filters... Just the dropdown would do. I vote for removing those.

I tested this behaviour with one of my patches. If I play repeatedly an arpeggio (let's say C-E-G) every fourth or fifth repetition misses a note (this is in Lion, in case it matters).hakey wrote:I've had this when switching rapidly (whilst the first patch is still sounding) from a stacked voice patch to a non-stacked patch. Me too, and I already had reported that to Urs (forgot to say that it happened in Lion, though). The wiorkaround, for me, was to release the control one value before the one I want. But sometimes, it keeps it (AARRGH)Howard wrote:I get that too (already told Urs). Quite annoying when you want to set precise values! First time I've noticed it. I'm using it on OSX Lion as a VST in Ableton Live 8.

Ok, problem solved. I had saved DIVA as an instrument rack in Ableton Live. When I ran the new installer, I didn't realize it put the VST in an u-he folder within my VST folder (other u-he synths didn't do that). So I might have loaded the old. Perhaps something went weird because of that. I also noticed that Logic automap mixer was turned on in my live midi preferences. I turned that off too. That would have presumably always been on though and I never saw the behavior before the new installer so I'm more inclined to believe it was due to have two versions.Howard wrote:I get that too (already told Urs). Anyways it's fine now! Values don't move after I let go.

The same problem with the 64bit Version here in Studio One x64.pocvecem wrote:Found a reproducable bug in the Windows x64 VST version 1.0. Sometimes one or more voices in Diva are silent after changing presets.
32bit version is ok in Live 8.2.5 on Win7/64. No probs here.
In Cubase 6.0.5/64 on Win7/64: change between the two presets THIRD PARTY/BrontoScorpio/"BS Sweet Harmony" and "BS Melancholia".
"BS Sweet Harmony" always plays fine but then when i switch back to "BS Melancholia" the patch suddenly is silent. Sometimes it needs 2 or 3 times switching between those two presets to get this bug. On the Trimmers page i can see that Voice1 is active when i hit a key and the cpu-meter shows that the voice is processed but no sound is created.
No offence to Dennis! This bug i found with several other presets as well.
Bridged the x64 version to 32bit with jbridge and played in Ableton --> same problem
Bridged the 32bit version to 64bit with jbridge and played in Cubase --> all fine
Cheers,
Gerald

Maybe it is related to latency scrolling, or to the natural scrolling direction stuff that's new in Lion... just a wild guess.Urs wrote:I'll check it out on Lion then... wonder where that comes from...

I can confirm a similar issue. Diva x64, Reaper 4.14 x64, Win 7 pro x64, i7 2600k, 16GB RAM, Traktor Audio 2, latest driver. Some patches (e.g. BT hoovered juno and BT the master himself) cause a massive click that causes Reaper to auto-mute the track after I switch those patches back and forth. I can't reproduce this in the 32bit version so far.pocvecem wrote:Found a reproducable bug in the Windows x64 VST version 1.0. Sometimes one or more voices in Diva are silent after changing presets.

Diva 1.0 64-bit barely works in my host -- Sonar X1, Windows 7 64-bit. It seems that whenever I press a note twice, the sound becomes extremely distorted and degenerates into loud random static. The problem is worse with some patches more than others. Diva 1.0 32-bit works fine.
