Cross-thread pollination - looks like URS is looking into the "snap-crackle-pop-on-demo" issue. :D

Post

alphuris - devout

DAW: Ableton Live 8

15 instances of Diva via 13 outs and 3 sends.

Effects: RoughRider, LoudMax, Density mk11.

While there's nothing particularly Christmasy, one of the sounds is actually the main note progression for the carol of the bells, it's just very well disguised. :)

@Mawa: Don't forget to share your songs with http://soundcloud.com/groups/kvr-one-sy ... ge/dropbox

Cool with a classic cover and by the way funny it's Grieg as I've been toying with the idea of doing Hall of the Mountain King myself for a while.
Thank you V'ger,

I allready uploaded the tracks with this link. But they where routed to my soundcloud site called Photonic. I tried it again from another computer, but with the same result. Is this conected with the e-mail adress?
What I am doing wrong? How to get them into the KVR-group?

It seems I need some help,

You could enter your account, and go again to http://soundcloud.com/groups/kvr-one-sy ... ge/dropbox : you should see a "Select an already uploaded file" option, below the "Choose file" button.

(great track, by the way :hihi:)

When OSC is over we have vocals ready, and we will do another mix... :D

Good Luck to everyone and Merry Christmas! :hihi:
Nice one! It sounds just the way you said: As if the vocals are missing. It doesn't sound like an instrumental but like a backing track. But a good sounding one.

made on Cubase Studio 4 with about 20 Diva instances, more details in the final version.
This is cool. I like the development of the track, nice story!

Good luck to everyone!
I like this steady going feeling while a lot of little details are happening. Very good sounds and good production.

:-o This is a nice combination of iceberg emotions with as we germans say "auf die Fresse" sound which means something like with balls and in your face. I'm only missing the Billy Idol vox and the Rammsteinish guitars. Cool track. :tu:

hey chacka, ...not that I have a problem with your comments on the tracks... but did you know, that you can put these comments in the blue-bar on the soundcloud-page? it is easier to connect your feelings with the songs, if you put it right into the track! just try it out... but remember, this only works on the soundcloud-page, not on the OSC-site! Just click on that little link on the OSC-site "(If you have trouble seeing the player below, go directly to the SoundCloud group page here)"

just a hint...

Oh, thanx for that. I seldom found that style of commenting useful myself so I didn't think I would like to do that myself. I'll have another look at it. :)

No any beta and even the newly released 1.0 is fine to use.
gorgorgathgorgorgor wrote:Don't we have a rule against covers?
Covers are fine as long as the original is not copyrighted which automatically happens after the author has been dead for 70 years.

Covers are allowed as long as the original material is not copyrighted, the author mentioned and song file name and tag show it's a cover. (like this: Artist - YourTitle (cover))
JoeCat wrote:Anyone else download the release? The U-he "crackles" are in the demo, for some reason I thought that started on Jan. 1 (tied to computer date). Should we stick to beta for the contest? I might just be able to whip something up, though I suspect this will be one tough crowd for a rush job...
I don't get the demo-type crackles with v 1.0, but all sounds are brittle and weird sounding when loading the project made on beta, so I don't know what that is, good Urs is addressing it but no problem with the latest beta build anyway..

Maybe just on the Mac version? In any case, I confirmed it's not a "CPU freaking out" issue :-D
