Ok, someone had to ask this and it might as well be me - may we have some hoover presets for DIVA please? Kriminal created a brilliant hoover preset for one of the betas but now it doesn't work properly in the full version. I even created a song around it but it's gone all flat and farty now.

I humbly request (no, DEMAND!) my portion of hoover presets pleeease!

Also, a few grime wobbles and rave sirens wouldn't go amiss either.

THANK YOU!

:wheee:

Try the factory bank. There's a few in there already. ;)

Of course, there's my favourite Gallic 'sound designer' - his patches suck pretty hard, maybe you could ask him?

Genius! Thanks that's exactly what I was looking for. 8)

You sir, take the good name of hoover in vein! :x

Maybe I should ask them if they'll create a sample bank.

Also "BT mighty beltram hover (mw+pb)" ;)

Yeah, I'd definitely start there, that's the most authentic one imho. I was trying to do the same from memory with the [SG] Dominatrix patch, but BT did a *much* better job. (even though he apparently forgot to mention Human Resource in the patch notes. :P)

Btw, note that exact copies of Alpha Juno patches may not be possible due to minor differences between with Diva's envelopes and the Alpha's; iirc the T(ime) values were important for modulating the pitch of some hoover sounds.

I also submitted a few more straightforward hoover-type patches: look for [SG] Edgar Junior, [SG] Hoovercraft, [SG] Roland, You Know, and [SG] Rotterdam.

They're huge actually - but we couldn't really make sense of the Alpha Juno ones. There must be a bug in the hardware... they do not really work as explained in the manual...

xh Doober in the treasure chest has some wobbling on the modwheel, using quantize and lag assignments.

That's all well and good for Hoover presets. Now where are the presets of Bedouin goat farmers praying towards Mecca whilst the goats' harnesses jingle in the desert breeze??

Well, at least they go up first, can stay up there for a bit, and come down again at the end, and you get to control the speed of all that. All the rest is subtle details for synth purists, isn't it? :P

Maybe so, originally, but by now I'd consider it a bug in the manual in any case.

You can do this in Diva, it's just two saw waves detuned, but then you have to run it through 237 FX chains.
