Maybe just on the Mac version? In any case, I confirmed it's not a "CPU freaking out" issue :-D
In the Diva 1.0 thread Urs said that the newest mac version is crackle free again. :)

Phantastic entries so far!

While there's nothing particularly Christmasy, one of the sounds is actually the main note progression for the carol of the bells, it's just very well disguised. :)
:-o This is a nice combination of iceberg emotions with as we germans say "auf die Fresse" sound which means something like with balls and in your face. I'm only missing the Billy Idol vox and the Rammsteinish guitars. Cool track. :tu:
Thanks for the kind words. As per usual, the more I re-listen to it the less I like it, but actually coming up with something was hard this month as I couldn't get the right mesh of sounds.

@Urs
Thanks for your time to listening all of them. Highly appreciated.

Just to let you know, you can use my track in your website as demotrack if you are interested. I don't have problem on that.

Have a good day and Merry Christmas :)

@Mawa: Don't forget to share your songs with http://soundcloud.com/groups/kvr-one-sy ... ge/dropbox

Cool with a classic cover and by the way funny it's Grieg as I've been toying with the idea of doing Hall of the Mountain King myself for a while.
Thank you V'ger,

I allready uploaded the tracks with this link. But they where routed to my soundcloud site called Photonic. I tried it again from another computer, but with the same result. Is this conected with the e-mail adress?
What I am doing wrong? How to get them into the KVR-group?

It seems I need some help,
mawa
You could enter your account, and go again to http://soundcloud.com/groups/kvr-one-sy ... ge/dropbox : you should see a "Select an already uploaded file" option, below the "Choose file" button.

(great track, by the way :hihi:)
Thank you bzur!

Now I understand. I have to login into my acount, than the menues are changing.
That was the hint I needed. :D

Thank you all for the warm wellcome and nice comments!

Good luck to everyone!
I like this steady going feeling while a lot of little details are happening. Very good sounds and good production.
Thanks a lot! Such words help me not to stop making music. ;)
When I saw Diva announced by Urs, I thought: another VA synth? But after I started to tweak some sounds with it, I understood - IMHO, unbeatable sound quality!

Covers are fine as long as the original is not copyrighted which automatically happens after the author has been dead for 70 years.

Covers are allowed as long as the original material is not copyrighted, the author mentioned and song file name and tag show it's a cover. (like this: Artist - YourTitle (cover))
Oh cool, I guess I haven't read the rules in the past year, or my memory failed me!
This could be good tho, gonna start looking for some Nordic folk songs...

Just our of curiosity - how many of you roll almost all your own patches for the OSC contests?

I try to use a minimum of factory patches, simply out of addiction to a selfish creative process - since I'm mainly producing just for me (if I did this professionally for film scoring, etc., I'm sure I'd work differently!).

However, it means I have virtually no workflow - hours of time creating/trashing to achieve what I think will work sound-wise, while almost always what I keep is the result of a happy accident and hours of lost time. When there's no time limit, I enjoy the process. But for the OSCs, with deadlines, I end up frustrated.

Working with a palette of patches allows you to focus more on the music, composition, and production, while limiting your programming time to tweaking and adding a few choice sounds. For the two OSCs I've entered I got an early start and took the approach of programming a small set of presets, then used those as seeds for the composition. But it left me little time to mix and I was never entirely happy with those productions.

Or does everyone else spend 2 hours tweaking some pad, only to toss it the next day and start over? :bang:

This month i made all my patches from scracth. What are you listening it's completelly me.

Hehe, yeah, i finished the song, then i talked with Bzur, and he told me that there were more than 100-200 presets already on the community. I felt like...

...Punched in the face by myself, lol.

The first thing i do when i want to start a new track for OSC it's looking for presets, Guis, etc.

But well, it was funny and didactic to create all these sounds, anyway they are about 14 or so.

Have a good day :)

Created everything I used. Stuck with the earlier demo version I had as well since I didn't want to have to recreate everything.

Post

Me too. I Had my sounds pretty well decided on when the update dropped, and I just didn't want to mess with re-tweaking all my drumkit sounds, and yes, they were all from scratch.
