Eeek. Is there a chance you can provide me with an example project?

Hi, few issues with the Diva 1.0 installer

there is no proper distinction between x86 or x64 version (both versions of plugin install to program files(x86)/vstplugins

while the x64 version should install to program files/vstplugins

Also there is no clear strategy on how to maintain patches and settings?
can there be one shared settings directory for both x64 ans x86?

Like with the other u-he plugins, instead of putting the Diva.data folder directly inside the folder with the DLL you can put a shortcut to the data folder there (name that shortcut Diva.data). That way you can have the data folder anywhere you like and share it between x64 and x86 versions.

have the newest version 1.0 (bought it)...cubase 32 bit 6.05 win 7 64 bit intel i7 i start up a second diva and it imediately emits a super high pitched tone out of my right speaker and cubase freezes. ??? This doesn't always happen but it just did.

Want to add i can't even start my task manager to close cubase...oh and I can't open itunes now either

Eeek. Do you know which preset?

i dont remember. I know the first diva had the MK sine wave i believe and I had some automation on the filter. Honestly now that I think about it i might have just opened up diva without even selecting a patch. I'm about to restart my computer

Urs, this is the behavior that a few of us have reported already. I always keep a limiter on the output buss for just such issues. But, we have reported the random audio spike behavior. The only addition I see here is the "lockup" and the fact it is x86 Cubase. Although, my machine did freeze for a few seconds, I was able to recover.
If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

Preset Factory -> 4 DREAM SYNTH -> SW Magic Flute doesn't seem to make any sound. If I switch to another preset it plays just fine. If I switch back it doesn't work. Ideas?

I posted this in the main thread last night. Sounds like the same issue:

I get a pop followed by silence on a lot of the TUC presets. Anyone else? Doesn't matter if the quality is at great or draft. Example: the TUC Synchronized Lead patch. There's a bunch more. I also get dropped notes with his patches as well, example: the Starglitter patch.

I'm on Win 7 64bit and get the same result using DIVA x64 in Sonar 8.5 and Studio One v2.

Sorry, gotta get dressed for dinner... we'll suss it out in a few days

I'm not getting this in 64 bit Sonar X1 on my system with these patches. However I have, just once, had the same sort of "hiccup" with "BT The master himself" but in the 64 bit Kore 2 and only once - it went away again when I restarted the host and I can't replicate it now (it was when running through presets fairly quickly though)

Post

Just got it again in Studio One x64 with several patches including the ones mentioned - seems like if one is affected it causes some sort of micro cpu spiking phenomenon that affects many patches - however again, on restarting the host it has all cleared up and I can play fine now.

Also found another weird one: Voice 4 never plays for me. I see the light illuminate but no sound comes out. The next note I hit it goes to Voice 5 and works perfectly. Happens mostly with Poly presets -- Fernando's presets happen very reliably.. (Diva x64 480, Reaper 4.14 x64, Win7 x64 SP1).

Example:

Load Factory -> Fernando's Hardware Factory -> FMR Jupiter VH Jump. Stab C2 rapidly. As it cycles around the 8 Voices it always drops out at Voice 4.
