ACE demo?

hi,
i love the feature in ACE in which you can change the size/opacity of the patch cords, and i prefer mine to be the thinnest and most transparent. but what is odd is that after i reload or change songs, the cords go back to the default, fat, opaque ones.
i am using the demo, and i wonder: is this a limitation of the demo? if not, is something else going on?
thanks

Interesting... If I change a skin in the demo, then close and reopen the plugin window (using Reaper 4, latest version), it goes back to the default skin...
Something weird is happening here for sure.

The full version has the same issue. Bazille has the same problem. It can be a bit annoying sometimes but it's not a dealbreaker imo
I don't know about the skin issue though. I never tried different skins.
Cheers

Hmmm... it should save...
Do you have a file called com.u-he.ACE.UIprefs.txt in ACE.data/Support/ ?
What does it say?

I mentioned this back in the summer : http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=324874
The com.u-he.ACE.UIprefs.txt file appears to be getting written incorrectly. A fix would be greatly appreciated as whilst not a show-stopper it is somewhat annoying
Shif.

The majority of problems related to files being written incorrectly are due to Windows' new file permission protections of the Program Files folder. Try the instructions here and I bet you'll be working in no time:Shifrin wrote:I mentioned this back in the summer : http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=324874

I'm on XP, that error still happens, and I have no permission restrictions in Program Files as I'm logged in as admin.
On my W7 laptop, I have my VST folders (one for x86, one for x64) outside of Program Files folder. The error still happens.
So it's not purely a permission thing.

Here are my settings (and contents) of my UIprefs file. It's working fine here on W7 x64 SP1, not sure why it's not working for you. Hope this helps.EvilDragon wrote:I'm on XP, that error still happens, and I have no permission restrictions in Program Files as I'm logged in as admin.

I'm talking about the reverting to main skin bug that's happening in Reaper for me. I'm not so concerned about patch cables.

Ditto, tried the fix using symbolic links, and checked the permissions too - problem persists (Win7 SP1 64bit, Reaper 4.14 32bit, ACE 32bit).bailees7irish wrote:tried the recommendation here, still didnt work.

That sucks, really wanted this thing to work. Great sounds, really unique.
