Why does DIVA alias in the filter section?

Sorry to bring this up but I got the demo. I am having mixed feelings out of this beast since there is clearly a LOT of effort and detail put into this synth.
My only issues are that there seems to be aliasing in the filter section at high resonance and that the CPU cost is very high. I cannot run more than a few voices usually.
I am contemplating purchasing DIVA since some of my other synths also alias (that bugs me) but cannot come to understand why this is so with DIVA.
I have tried the divine setting and it is still there. I ran the plug at 44.1 and 48K. Anything higher would kill my CPU since I can barely play a few voices already on my 2ghz core 2 duo.
Thanks!!

If your computer is quite slow (as it appears to be) what you are hearing as aliasing may in fact be the sound of the CPU maxing out.
You need to try bouncing down to an audio file in divine mode. If you cannot hear the aliasing then I am pretty sure it is your CPU crapping out in real time.

If you do an offline render at best quality do you still hear the aliasing? If so, can you post an audio example of the aliasing so we can determine what it may be?

Well, it won't ever be aliasing free, anyone who claims otherwise would be nuts
However, it should be very difficult to get annoying levels of aliasing in divine mode... an audio example would be appreciated

2.0ghz Core2Duo is getting a little old for Diva - you might consider checking out the other Core2's that your board can handle - you could likely get up to Q9650 (3.0ghz quad) which is what i have and it can do lots of voices in draft or fast mode. simple swap of cpu - no reinstalling windows and you have more than double the power..

Hello, I will try to post some examples.
The aliasing levels are only at extreme resonance settings.
I can't really update my CPU since it is a laptop and not in the plans.
I was willing to deal with a single voice (just like a modulars or moog) but wanted to bring up this subject.
Many thanks.

It may depend on the filter model as well.
I have a diode filter in my diode filter that sounds like it has a steppy encoder controlling the cutoff if I push the resonance to max, And that is real analog hardware

Hi folks,
the moog LP filter and Juno LP filter alisases pretty much at high resonance but only in draft mode. In fast mode, you can't hear much aliasing at high resonance...
BTW the jupiter LP filter and MS filters does'nt alias even with reso pushed to max in draft mode... i think that's because those filter types don't "open" at high freq as much as the other two...
I think it's a little like ACE: filters aliases very much in draft mode when reso is push high but you can't hear much aliasing in standard mode...
