Hi Urs,
First of all, congratulation for your plugins. I just bought Zebra and Diva during the last weeks and I'm really amazed, just discovering new sound every day.
Tonight I tried to see the limit of my computer for running Diva. So I select Divine mode, 16 voices and try to play as much voices as possible.
As many user (in the dedicated thread), 12 is the limit where I start to have "cracks and pops". I have an i7-980, 6 core , 3.33 Ghz and I'm using Cantabile Performer as host.
I'm not a VSTi programming expert but the thing I noticed is that when I reach the limit, looking at my CPU usage (with windows performance counter), I'm far to be at 100% usage. I usually have one of the 12 cores (inc the HT ones), at 60-70% and the other ones are below 10% ...
Don't know if this help ...

You have to remember that 100% cpu usage is not 100% on Multi core cpu's.
On a Quad core cpu 100% on one core is 25% 25X4=100%.
With multicore cpu's you have to take 100/No. of cores to see what equals 100% on one core
