Or Big Tick Cheese MAchine (look up the database)

I had a Crumar Performer years ago. Awesome strings machine...
I used Big Tick Cheese Machine to "replace" it in my productions: http://www.bigtickaudio.com/goodies/cheezemachine

I have a Crumar Performer, it's a cool machine. It is good for evil drones, not just eighties pop stuff, and like all analog string machines there is more to it than meets the eye. String machines can also do very beautiful "fairy bells" kinds of sounds, and the spectra are exceedingly rich, almost buzzing, so they are good through external filters and effects.
The demos of the Kontakt samples are impressive, in a mix I highly doubt if I could tell the difference between them and typical Performer sounds. What I'd miss is the fact that a string machine is actually a kooky kind of analog synthesizer, and you can coax neat things out of them.

Wow, yeah, that's the best string machine VST I've heard, no question. The Logan-like sounds are strikingly authentic. Yeah I have a Logan too.electro wrote:Cromina is the best Solina VSTI.
