Just little topic about envelopes.

Hi all.

I don't know, if it's just me, but I like really snappy envelopes. It seemed that in SynthMaster you can't do envelope spike shorter then 5 ms. Then I found out you can, by lowering attack slope, but that means that whole SM will have 5ms latency.

It's not a problem at all, but it could be negative feature in eyes of potentional customers.

...or is it really just me? How fast you set your envelopes?

Why does attack slope add 5 ms delay I dont understand?

Make sure both volume and filter envelopes' slopes are sharp!

Nnice.

But about that "why for". I just find that little < 5ms spikes sound good. Having said that, raising attack slope makes attack time 0 yes, but then you create at least 5ms holding time. Onlyway how to do these spikes (cca 8ms up and down in one) is still by lowering it.

Just do this: open the Config file :

\Config\SynthMasterConfig.txt

and change this line:

Min Envelope Duration=+3.000

to

Min Envelope Duration=+1.000

So by default the min envelope duration is 3 milliseconds, you can lower it to 1 milliseconds. The side effect is it's being done globally, and all durations whill change slightlty.
