So this will be 64-bit or just support 64-bit VST?

Post

Quote from bitwig site: Real-time time stretching. Bitwig Studio's proprietary technology .....

This interests me - not using Elastique timestretching (like everyone else - bar Reason)

It can't support 64bit VSTs if it's not 64bit itself :)

Cheers

yest it can, ever heard about bit bridges?

and - not using elastique which is quite expensive for licensing we shall add, this makes me hope even more for lower than Live's price

That's not true... FL Studio "supports" 64 bit VST by allowing it to bridge into the systems RAM.

Ohh sorry! I always thought they just work the other way around
But I'm sure it will be 64 bit :)

stole my thunder...

+1 on not having to shell out for the elastique licensing..

*crosses fingers it's under $300*

The force is strong in the wigs, yes, for worse Ableton must prepare.
NAMM for Ableton important is. If nothing is shown there, fall this company will...

Btw after StudioOne having pitch mangler, FL studio having pitch mangler and Ableton debugging, I'd welcome some little autotune in BitWig really bad.
(Would say this Yoda-ish too, but my english too lame is. :D)

yep, this can work both ways (Renoise does this too now as of v2.8 ) ;)

but yeah, I dont suspect them to stick to 32bit only, it's a completely new software so it would be wel... plain stupid ;)

Exactamundo...unless it's using a wrapper for 64-bit VST's. I doubt that's the case. In this day and age, a real professional DAW must be capable of operating as a 32-bit or 64-bit application.
Mac Studio M1 Max 10-core CPU, 32-core GPU, 64GB RAM, 4TB SSD | Logic Pro 10.7.5 | Cubase Pro 12 | Nuendo 12 | Studio One 6 | Seagate 8TB external HDD | Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 2nd Gen | Akai MPK261 | Akai MPC X

posted this in the other topic also... (missed this one)

need of spline editing like flstudio on automation parts.
better piano roll... just by the looks of it, it looks bad like abletons ( again flstudio piano roll is pure awesomnes)
browser behavior like studio one would be just great.
fast and easy external controller linking like studio one or flstudio.

i wish the best for bitwig... and i hope developers listen to the customer requests.

and let it cheap with an easy registration process (no dongel or c/r please! )

no dongle. I got no problem with the way ableton does it because they would always give me my two licenses whenever I needed to clean out a computer.

They got to do something
no purchase until everything goes to usb 3.0 and all hosts are 64 bit!

I just hope it'll be good enough for live acts so I could buy it instead of Live upgrade, also the introductory price up to $100 would be really welcome and actually pretty much logical as this is completely new product and although a few of us might be excited about it, when it comes to actually spending some money a serious thought will certainly take place.

that said, if the intro price will be no more than $100 i'll probably buy it right away.

I would say there is no chance for that sort of price...

That could very well be their niche. I mean, the market for overpriced music software is really fed up, don't you think?

Hope u'll like it guys.
BTW I didn't mean to offense anyone with this video and I apologize if I ever did!
Also sorry if there are language inconsistances, I'm French =)

Anyway, Bitwig looks like a killer. Hope L9 comes soon, desperately need a working 64 bit... jbridge just doesn't do.

[mod edit: Hitler jokes aren't going to go well here. Link deleted. How about discussing software decently and civilly instead?]

edit: Well according to the number of hitler parodies, I thought nobody would mind anyway! But as I said, I meant no offense so sorry if I did. 'Just being hopin' to see someone laugh at it... I had this idea because someone asked for it in Abe' forums.
