Urs,

I think the latest cut has fixed a few little quirks. However, I'm having a strange problem on a couple of my tracks that hasn't seemed to have gone away. I'm not sure if this is a Diva or Ableton problem, but so far I've only experience on tracks with Diva.

It's a combination of a few different things. Sometimes, suddenly, the sound of a particular instance will completely change. It sounds a bit like it's feed backing (distorted). When this occurs, it seems to be that the sound is repeating. So, I might play through a couple of bars with a clip, then when there is no clip playing, I will still hear the same loop that was playing when there was a clip being played. In other words, Diva is playing when it shouldn't be. I tried taking all the sends off and disabling all FX etc. but it still occurs. I tried soloing the track and I can hear that there 2 instances of Diva going - one is the original, and the other is like a distorted feed backing version of it. This only happens after looping the particular section many times. This only happens on one or two songs but I can only consistently recreate the problem on one song.

Look, I'm not quite sure what is going on. Perhaps, I have done something stupid in my project. I'm not sure. Anyway, if you have Ableton, I can send the project to see if you can recreate the issue.

You could send a Live project to support@u-he.com

Clemens and our newly aquired Fritz (support, q&a, soldering) can check it out.

Cheers,

;) Urs

Are you using session or arrange?

I'll send the through the project tomorrow. But, it's arrange view.

This has happened in Cubase 6.0.5 64 bit to me as well, so I think it is probably a Diva problem. It sounds like a very ugly digital distortion effect.

Sounds like you have a clip in session view. I don't see how it is a Diva problem when it is playing a sequence that is not there. Diva is not going to remember a deleted clip.

It's baffling but there are no Session view clips. I don't even use session view.

Anyway, I've sent the project so hopefully it can be recreated.

Hi Kruddler,

I have checked out your Live project... Can I summarize the problem as follows:

When you have a Diva-Clip and you loop it, sometimes a note gets played even when you hit "stop"?

We could reproduce this once, but it wasn't the whole clip that kept on playing just one note (with a lot of LFO in it so it sounded like a full clip :D).

The question I'd like to clarify is: Does this also happen when a clip ends in a 'usual' way without the global loop-bar being involved? Or does it only happen when the global loop-bar ends and the transport jumps back to the beginning?

If this is the case, it is most likely related to either Diva's or Live's Midi-Scheduling... and if it's Diva we're gonna fix it ;-)

Cheers,
- Clemens

Hi. Sorry for taking so long to get back to you.

It might, but I haven't noticed this problem.

I can't really answer that sorry. I can tell you that after about 5 minutes of looping another feed backing version of the loop starts playing. If the transport progress past the end of the loop, the part that was playing will continue looping even though there are no notes.
