Hey,

I'm fairly jet lagged right now...

Currently negotiating with Jayney if Brunswick St is on or not. She wants to bring her friend who could actually drive and save her from geek talk :hihi:

I'm trying to convince her that most people are going to be musicians/producers rather than geeks, and she being a musician herself may find loads of opportunities to chittychat.

Other than that... is there a 30 days no frills metlink card? - I'd like to become a bit more independent this time maybe... (and I'm still not going to drive a car on the left side of the road - heck, I still can't properly cross a street because I look to the wrong side first)

well, what do you know... I'm definately not interested in making his aquaintance...
Welcome!

One thought is to keep the location quiet until it is decided upon, then PM everyone here who has expressed an interest, that you would like to invite.

cheers

Yep, that's perfect. I'm already getting some private mails, maybe I should just collect them and send a mail to everyone.

It would be great if everyone could send an email to urs@u-he.com with the subject "MEL MEET" (and then I can give my bank a heads up if I need to buy more than 2377 pints of beer for the first round :hihi: )

Cheers,

;) Urs

Urs, I was watching the men's finals of the Australian Open, and I wondered if you had been able to catch any tennis while you've been in Melbourne. You may not be a tennis fan, but I was curious.

Hehe, yes, we watched the final last night. On TV though...

Btw. I just sent a message to everyone. If you haven't got it, please send me an email :)

Thank you Urs and Jayney! I had a great time, the venue was perfect, and the warmth and friendliness of everyone had me smiling all night.

It was great to meet you both, your hospitality is like your software: 100%

Thanks also to Andy (Camel Audio) for joining us, it was a great coincidence for me that the two plug-ins I love most were represented. It was well worth the long trip.

To all the 'KVR Krew' there, it was fantastic to catch up with you. So many interesting people, doing amazing stuff! The night was a real geek-fest, and I mean that in a good way.

That a bunch of people with shared interests can come together without knowing each other well and have a great time has reaffirmed my faith in KVR-ians.

Yes, I reckon there are a few sore heads about today

cheers

We're all suffering slight hang over today. I'm just now getting into some sort of daily routine...

Was absolutely great meeting everyone, and I sure hope to meet Theo before we leave :)

I think Jayney took a picture or two, I'll see if I can find the cable for the camera in one of the suitcases... I think I packed it...

Theo, don't apologize, just get better!

We're gone for a week from tomorrow night, and then there's a week left where Jayney wants to meet all of her family members and friends in shortest possible time. It's going to be packed, and I surely hope to have good excuses to get out of some of those meetings. Which would be the ideal time to have a beer or a coffee :)

(I had hoped to have you meet a friend yesterday who suffered from severe back pain... to my surprise he was all bouncy and fit last night, as if there hadn't ever been any issue. There's chances even in really severe cases to get massively better.)
