I have NI Komplete 7 installed, and the NI Service Centre is reporting a whole bunch of updates are available to me (for example I have Massive 1.1.5 installed, but it's reporting 1.3 is available).

Is it safe to install the very latest NI updates reported by Service Centre on the Receptor, or is there a known latest supported version I shouldn't upgrade beyond?

I notice on the Plugorama site (http://www.plugorama.com/kb.php?id=80) it suggests Massive isn't supported beyond 1.1.3, and Kontakt isn't supported beyond 3.0.2, so I'm nervous to start upgrading to Native Instruments' latest versions.

Any insight into this would be very welcome!

Are you running a Receptor 1? I don't think Kontakt 3.5 works on the rev 1 Receptors. If you have a Receptor 2 with Komplete 7 you should be dealing with Kontakt 4. I'm running the latest 4.24 with no problems on a Receptor 2+ Pro Max.

I have a Receptor 1 Pro Jr and have been following the recommendations on the document you sited for updated the Komplete installed on there, everything seems to work stably.

Thanks TechEverlasting - I'm running a Receptor 2+ Pro. So it seems I can upgrade to Kontakt 4.2.4, but what about other Komplete plugins like Massive? Is there some definitive list of which versions are tested and regarded as stable?

The Muse Knowledge Base here http://www.museresearch.com/support/knowledge-base.php provides the supported NI updates. However, I have successfully upgraded Kontakt 4 to 4.2.4 using Direct Install even though it is not on the list. I don't know about any other NI Plugs though.

I was told by Greg at Muse not to use the service center on the Receptor to update the Komplete 7 instruments. It doesn't seem to install properly yet. It does let you know the apps that need updating...

I downloaded all the updates from the NI website and dropped them in the install folder on the Receptor. Then clicked on install from the Receptor setup window. All apps are the latest versions.

I am hoping there will be a way soon to install Komplete 8....

Thanks, I'll give that a go....just didn't want to go ahead and do something that would introduce irreversible instability!
