writing a tune last night in mu lab and noticed that if there is a really short note that i want to lengthen (it happens once you get to 1/32nd quantise resolution)it moves the note instead and is unable to lengthen the note. any way of upping the resolution/precision so that this is possible?

For short notes, the pencil will not appear at the start/end of the note because there simply is not enough room to have the 3 tool zones. (start/main/end)
Zooming in makes the note bigger in size and then you'll get the 3 zones again.
Does that work for you? If not, feel free to suggest how you want it to be.

how about a left mouse click or a key press(shift?) + right click that disables note move on mouse over and allows just note length changes at higher resolution? when playing basslines it's easy to record short notes by mistake that then need lengthening so this suggestion would improve workflow. just upgraded to mu lab 4 ul so looking forward to getting really into it next few weeks!
