Yes, i am totally agree with you..some basic modular setups
But look at the tutorial on the Mulab site, for exapmple : setting up a multi timbral vsti ( a vsti with 16 midi outs )

No band limits, aliasing is the noise of freedom!

Look at the post of Johny Pumphandle

Another thing... If I right click a note (left keyboard piano roll) in the edit screen and say select all these notes... and hit delete. It deletes the sequence rather than the notes selected? :?:

Check out the newest version! ;)

That's intended: When you scroll/zoom the editor, it is assumed you want to be on that section of the editor, if auto scroll would suddenly change your view that would not be friendly.

A shortcut key indeed is a perfect way of using it.
As mentioned in this recent conversation I think there should be some basic modular setups for us non-programmers. Ha! I mean it's great being able to have so much power but it seems like it would be useful to be able to have some simple setups already to go... I've been able to create some great sounds by just using a single oscillator and hitting "random" with the oscillator a few times and adding an effect. Kind of reminds me that it takes a lot of simple sounds combined for every one "wall of sound" preset... :)
There are 643 MUX patches now in the latest package.
Most of them are open patches and can be seen as a example/template too for learning how to do things modularly.

The most simple effect patch is Factory -> Effects -> Devices -> Basic Effect.
The most simple synth patch is Factory -> Instruments -> Devices -> Basic Synth.

Those last 2 are perfect for starting a modular adventure 8)

The delete function you used is in the Sequence group so yes it's deleting the sequence.

I switched the velocity/controller window below the notes in the sequence editor from "All notes" to Foot Controller. I can't switch back now... The closest is "Chan 1 notes" and it shows nothing (mine are, I think, on Ch10, maybe... though foot controller is on Ch1).

So if I want to select all the notes in a pattern in the edit window I would usually select the keyboard (left side) and that would highlight those notes. Then I could delete ot whatever... what would I select (or how) to delete them? I'll check out the new version! 8)

I still have the problem where switching tempos doesn't update the time position display, by the way (in case that one got missed).

Thanks for the huge, update! And the new key. :)

Though when I saved a session, having set up my key, I got launched to the shop.

No i didn't miss the post. Thanks for mentioning! It's lower prio atm. I have no choice but to sort issues. That said i'm even not 100% sure if it's an issue. It depends how you look at it. But i don't want to discuss it now, not the right time. That's why i sometimes don't reply. I'm sure you understand all this :)

Please keep on sending feedback, i do read and evaluate every post! (unless accidently missed, which indeed happens from time to time)
Thanks for the huge, update! And the new key. :)
You're very welcome! Hope you'll enjoy using it :tu:

Just checking out the new version... I deleted the keyboard at top to see what it looks like. Can I get that back? Ha... I can't seem to find a comnd. for that? Beat grid numbers at top got way BIG. seems a little too big and did the color change... can't remember already. :!:

Ok, I've just checked again...forget about the doubleclick on the Midi Out module in the session modular area...but if you hover the mouse over the inputs of the Midi Out module, it shows, which connector reflects each output you have set up before...

Here is a little guide with pictures:

1) setup the input and output of the virtual midi driver...again, both have to be the same port number:

Image

2) Insert the VSTi you want to record the output from in rack 1...I took an arpeggiator here, so I had to enter notes to trigger it:

Image

3) Connect the event output 1 from rack 1 to the jack of the Midi Output module, which shows the correct output port, if you hover the mouse over it:

Image

4) Set the midi focus on the Track 2:

Image

5) Set the record type to Record Events (the rightmost transport button) and hit record... wait till recording and stop after the notes have been passed by the cursor (note, that you'll see nothing on track 2 till now)...
After stopping the record, a popup box will appear and want you to give a name for the recorded sequence... I named it Test 1...
And this is how it should look like:

Jo, there is something wrong with the Midi setup...

Especially, if you create a Midi Output module doubleclick it and quit the window with ok more than 1 times leads often into a crash here...
