I was able to successfully install Neo-Soul Keys as a Kontakt 4.2 Library on my Receptor 2 ver 1.9. For those who don't know, it's an excellent Rhodes plug (lots of character), a nice complement to the Scarbee Rhodes samples. You do need to be running the most updated Kontakt 4 version. A bit convoluted to authorize, but worth the effort. I haven't given it a good work out yet, but it seems to run fine.

Nice...Please keep us updated or do a video. I would love to see the NSK running on Receptor live.

Hi

What's news?

Having any problems with the NSK on ver 1.9?

Unfortunately not a lot of opportunities to use it recently, but no problems to report. It's fun to play and very good in a different way than the Scarbe Rhodes or Lounge Lizard. I've just been playing more piano stuff than rhodes lately, but I'll get back into the rhodes stuff eventually.

I tried for weeks to get neo soul installed on my Receptor 2 - I went back and forth w Muse and they couldn't get it to work either and finally gave up. How did you get it to work?

I'll try to take a look this evening to remind myself what I have installed on what. It's been a while. I do not recall using the Neo Soul Installer. I believe I just moved the libraries from my Mac installation over to Receptor. I'll try to update later today or sometime soon. Sorry that I do not recall the specifics.

Update: I am running the older version of Neo Soul Keys (simply called Neo Soul Keys) on Kontakt 4.2x. This is not the Neo Soul 3X. I have that as well but I am running that on my laptop.

If I recall correctly, I simply moved the NSK library over to the proper place on the Receptor hard drive, authorized the NSK library in Kontakt 3.5 using the NSK serial number, and finally opened it in Kontakt 4.2x. I know that I did not run any NSK installer on Receptor. (I believe the library install method using Kontakt 3.5 is documented somewhere in the Receptor knowledge base, but this is an old way of proceeding as well.)

I think Jamal may have changed things with NSK 3X and beyond, so this method may well not work with his newer libraries. I have not tried running NSK 3X on Receptor.

Bottom line: My situation is likely not helpful to your current dilemma. Sorry and good luck.

I am indeed trying to load the 3X version without luck.
