Yes cubase 6 artist education.

FWIW, and i am not trying to fuel DreamTrance here,

but if my only choice was Reaper, i wouldn't be making music. I'd have quit long ago, because i would find it such a tortured, uncreative process to use, i would just give up.
What kind of suggestion [why not do the 50/50 match thing that Meffy suggested]

What is difference between Cubase Artist 6 and Cubase Artist 6 Education?

So yes, you DO have to be happy with your host. I think that, more than *anything* else, is the important first step.
This is my main obsession

You said you were a student right?

there you go.

or you can wait and stretch to full cubase 6 education for $250

and then you will be set for years! You won't need to worry about host again for 5 years, seriously.

Plenty on offer at ebay.. make an offer for $240, that is what i paid for CUbase 6!!

Plenty of stores sell brand new cubase education full version there.

It means you will have vari audio, all the plug ins and features, as if cubase 6 full retail version.

And 100% legitimate.
Ttoz , have i to buy only on Ebay? . Cant i buy Cubase 6 education on 250 dollars on any distrubation ? because in this country they wants so much tax when good ıs over 100 dollars

You may buy it elsewhere, but in Europe it'll probably be a bit more expensive. Thomann sells full Cubase 6 EDU for 275 Euro http://www.thomann.de/pl/steinberg_cuba ... es_edu.htm

Don't know which country you're from, chances are they'll deliver for free as this is more than 200 Euro. You can check also stores in your country, they should have the EDU versions as well.

Good joke :)
No joke, he's telling the truth. What you put into your music is at least as important as what you put your music into.

It doesn't hurt to have commercial software, but if you're determined and willing to learn you can make do without.
We all did. We could either use multitrack recorders or simple 2 deck tape radios and over dub :) we used trackers and really modest tools back then. Screantracker was free! Impulse tracker was free except the wav writer was pay for like a donation

People are sooooo spoiled and ungrateful. We have everything free today.

Some of my favorite computer musicians are trackers and still dont use DAWs.

Point is now you have everything you could ever need and more in freeware it's the time to learn how to use these free gifts professionally that people lack. They want instant gratification.

I empathize but I'll be damned if I give to self centered narcissist deuchbags who feel like the world owes them.

This is really hard to be a good person about.

This thread is very good and discussion is very good.

When I got started in the 1960s there was no software except what ran on mainframes, no microcomputers, no minicomputers. By the mid-'70s I thought myself lucky to have a four-track TEAC with clunky (but for its time, luxurious) cabled remote control box.

Granular synthesis? Razor blade with splicing block plus lots of sticky mylar tape. Apply envelope to sampled sound? Razor blade, freehand, plus lots of sticky mylar tape. Sticky mylar tape peels off during playback and gums up the tape deck's works? Step away from the razor blade.

... And we wore onions in our belts, which was the fashion at the time. Uphill both ways in the snow. And liked it.

Just look, and look, and search. Google is your friend. You will find it. I will help you later on if you don't find it, i will try and find shop for you.

If you do not need vari audio, just get artist EDU version. In every other respect it is just as good. and much cheaper.

do you need vari audio?

p.s. i totally understand the love for cubase, it's one of the world's finest pieces of software :)

i need vari Audio , just wave free loops and midi record . but i dont need audio record at now .i see audio just for kick, snare, hihat and FX loops.

Ttoz when i find on internet web sites , can i show you ?

Ok, I'll let ttoz be your guide from now on. Just wanted to let you know that there might be some customs etc. problems with buying from US so you might consider that. This is also why I asked if you would check your local stores. Probably buying it in Kiev is possible - and there would be no languange problems.
And as for Thomann and education, Thomann's a store, based in Germany, so no wonder they write nothing about education, but it states Cubase 6 EDU. I guess EDU stands for educational version... (for students and teachers). European stores add VAT, that's why it's more expensive.
