I thought that sounded a lot better. The earlier kick sounded a bit unnatural.

just heard this odd.. and the latest one (room on the kick /no reverb) .. i think the kick on the latest version maybe sounds a lil too thin and back in the mix.. ofcourse i havent listened to any metal in a long while now..so take my feedback with a pinch of salt..sorry i am unable to be more helpful.
