Hello I am trying to find out if it is possible to map mdrummmers Intro/verse/chorus buttons to key notes on a midi foot controller... Can this be done? has anyone done this? I want to be able to ad-lib live, switching between verse and chorus with my foot switch...cheers

You want to watch this video http://www.meldaproduction.com/video/mdrummer_vst1.mov (start at 3:00min for immediate information) and then make your foot controller send corresponding note messages by using a translator like Bome's or similar.

with that method I would have to keep hitting the foot-switch on every bar to keep the beat going...Annoying!!! Plus I don't want to have to buy Bomes midi translator... Seems like an extra hassle why couldn't they have made a midi learn feature on mdrummer so as to be hassle free!!! Many people would love to gig live with this software...triggering fills on the fly ect...Gotta be a way to implement some like this??? anyone?

That's not true. The notes are used every bar in the video, because when you rewind MDrummer needs to get some command and that obviously doesn't happen until it receives a note. Normally you just need to send it simple commands, like start playing beat and it will continue until you change your mind ;).

O.K. but if I want to send the note for fill pattern...I would want it automatically to play a fill and then go to Chours or Verse right? is it going to do that?

I would also be happy to buy a dedicated foot switch for mdrummer to control these features...that would be awesome :)

Gonna play with mdrummer in sonar today and set up a drum map for it to trigger from my foot controller....

Then all you need is to map octave "2", because it contains short breaks. Now if you press C0, MDrummer will play a silent break and go to a very silent groove. Similarly if you press B0, MDrummer will play the loudest break and go to the loudest groove.
