I just went to run an LFO through the modmapper and noticed it wasn't oscillating smoothly through its cycle when set in free mode (with the synth in retrigger or legato mode). It seems to get reset when some note's are played but not consistently. When in gate mode it retriggers on every note like I imagine it should but in free mode should it not just cycle constantly? I checked the GLFO and it seems to be working properly. Maybe it's because there is one LFO for each voice and when played in mono it's actually triggering another voice for each new note? I'm running Zebra2 on a Mac with Lion in Ableton.
any ideas?
thanks
Keith

As an alternative, try looped MSEG to control the MMap instead of an LFO. ... You'll find that the MSEGs also have some useful options to work as LFOs
Try to set it to mono or single also... maybe you'll get what you're after

Should certainly be constant in legato mode while playing legato - I'll check tomorrow...

I've been having a similar problem. It looks like the ModMap jumps around, rather than cycling smoothly, whether I am using an LFO saw up as the source, or an MSEG. Any thoughts?
Also, is there any way to stop Zebra's LFO running when the DAW is paused, and to start the LFO again when the DAW is playing? So that the LFO is in sync in that way? Right now the options seem limited: Retrigger on each note, or have the LFO running free, regardless of where you are in a measure. But I'm probably doing something wrong.

It only jumps around if you play polyphonically (because only the most recent voice is displayed) i.e. that's normal. There's no kind of "sync to song" mode in the voice LFOs, just in the global ones. For details about LFO and GLFO in Zebra, see pages 51 to 53 of the user guide (if there's something missing on those pages, please let me know).merges wrote:I've been having a similar problem.
