What did you do to get that deal? I don't remember getting a free upgrade.

Actually, don't answer that question.

 :)

Really? They eat??? The coder's Jolt cola and espresso diet is just another programming myth?

Yeah...just you. Those of us who bought before Jan 1st, just got the free 64bit drumsticks, complimentary oil change and some novelty key fobs made from virtual snare rims. Pity, the early adopters. :D

Didn't have to do much of anything... I just laid back and thought of England. ;)

Anybody else having issues with this update? In-context preview(1) no longer works, nor does it work at all in Tracktion(2).

1. Kit piece preview while in the browser - single-click an item to hear how it would sound.

2. It works when you first load it, but loading up a song with Eco already in it results in that instance of Eco receiving no MIDI.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

There's also one kit piece missing which was supposedto be included--the Zildjian K20 Crash Ride (which was also to be included with 2 of the new presets). They have said on their own forum that they will fix the problem in an update in the near future.

A: It is another one of the BFD2 kits.

Q: Why not just a dll, for free?
A: It was a lot of hard work bringing our offerings into the 64bit world. Originally we had thought to delay 64bit support until BFD3/BFD Eco 2 because of the amount of rewriting and full retesting required. So this was a way to balance giving our customers something new at a really good price (a whole new kit for $20), whilst allowing us to recoup a small part of the substantial development time.

FXpansion normally gives 4+ years of free updates per product - some companies choose to hit you almost yearly for paid-for incremental upgrades. The push to go 64bit stalled our BFD product cycle, but we thought it was too important to delay until a major update.

A coder's gotta eat... we hope you understand! We tried to make it very worthwhile.
x64 BFD2 was the nicest suprise of 2011, Thank you. Eco seems redundant for full BFD2 owners. What exactly is the new content?
Intel Core2 Quad CPU + 4 GIG RAM
