Playing guitarist via midi patterns?

I just bought Guitarist today, I'm totally loving it and just had a question: is it possible to play Guitarist with the exported patterns sent to a sequencer, ie. have it simply function as a sound module playing the midi from the DAW? For my workflow I would prefer to make short patterns in Guitarist and export them to my DAW and have that drive the playing. Is this possible? This way when I save my projects all the midi is exportable but I still would like Guitarist to voice the playing. Thanks in advance!

Well I found a workflow that works for me, in Reaper I just render the pattern to a new audio take and move on, leaving the original pattern there in case I want to go back and change something, not using the drag and drop patterns. This takes care of my request sufficiently. It still would be nice to have an option to use Guitarist solely as a midi instrument though, for example working on melody lines using the same voicing so you don't have to try and match the sound with another VST. Regardless, Guitarist is an exceedingly good plugin and now is my favorite place to start working on a new song.
