Noise and quickly falling (pitch) oscillator into a comb filter, perhaps? Then lots of tweaking...

I have now tried to make sound whole day but it's too difficult to me because I'm a Junior with sound design and knobs.
Zebra is the vst what i have tried for this sound..Is that even right synth?

If someone have more skills than me i would be pleased if he could send preset to my e-mail:

Jared, Howard can't share the patches he made for the movie -- they're under license. If Howard did the sound there's a very good chance it's Zebra.

You're going to have to keep trying if you really want the sound. Either that or hope someone around here gets the bug to do it too and shares their effort with you.

I dug up one of my patches which might be a starting point for creating this sort of sound and tweaked it a little, but it still isn't quite what you're looking for. Maybe with some work, you or somebody else here could turn it into something useable.

This is very simple, just 3 module, but absolutely great sound:

I was using 2 pink noise modul, pan them left and right to taste, then a filter
Lp vintage2: Cutoff 50, mod:env2=60, mod2:velocity=32, drive:21.50

Env1 (Amp): Just dec:45,50 Rel:56,50 Vel:100 (normal quadric)
Env2 (filter) dec:58,50 Rel:57 Vel: 60 (v-slope: -50)

Eq: 1,lowest cut, and 2,boost around 40-50hz
Rev: Long, dense, plenty of modulation.

This is it. Then you can copy of your favorit deep kick and give a longer decay
and mix them together. But i think this patch alone can go well.

I dont know how to copy the patch here, i will uploading to the preset section.

I tried Howards ideas about the comb filter and it's working well!

The comb is a mistery for me - just tweaked until i get the sound out of it.

Added my own idea to mix it with some 808 soft kick. Added a bit more decay and release to get that longer Bumm, -what we can hear in the video, and a compressor.

So here it is:

War Drums 3 part

- You can mute the outputs of the different parts to see whats
going on.
