Hello, I registered in the forums just for this :-)

I wanted to share this patch I made for Zebra 2, a very inaccurate recreation of the Polymoog's patch "Vox Humana".

I follow the instructions here: and then made some modifications.

If someone could help me improve it, I would appreciate it very much.

Using an iMac, I couldn't get this patch to work on my Zebra. Anyone else get it to work? In my Finder window, the patch icon doesn't look like any other of my patches.

Macbook Pro, latest Ableton Live host. Patch loaded just fine here.

What does it look like? I think if the extension isn't right, that might goof up Zebra?

The Vox Humana patch is an .h2p file, so the extension looks correct. But the icon with the file looks like a blank white sheet of paper with the upper right-hand corner folded. Anyone know how I can get this to work? It is not visible (as far as I can tell) in my Zebra patches, so I can't select it if I wanted to.

This should be fine - patches I've saved or edited all show up as this versus a terminal icon, and Zebra sees them.

I often give bad unsolicited advice on this forum, but just some 'maybes' for some simple gotcha's, I'm sure it's something simple and goofy ...

- Is it directly in Local or User? Sometimes these can be a little tricky to spot from the Zebra browser
- Have you tried downloading the file again?
- A bit extreme - try opening the file with a text editor, and maybe resaving it?

xh3rv,
I downloaded the file again & it looks the same. I looked in Users & Local, didn't see it, but maybe I just don't see it & it's there. Your last resort: I wouldn't know how to do that any way. Thank you for replying though!

Sorry for not replying to posts, I thought nobody posted anything, I didn't get any email notifications.

aaron, remember that you need to download the file and place it in "\u-he\Zebra\Zebra2.data\Presets\Zebra2" for it to work!

Anyone tested the patch? how does it sounds to you? Thanks!

I have a Mac, so I put Zebra patches at: Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Presets/u-he/Zebra2. I never saw that patch as visible in the patch section of Zebra 2.

Mmmm... so on that directory are the other patches, right? you can see them there on the file manager?

I could maybe send you the file by email so we discard any problem with the file in the server. Give me your email (and remember to do it in a way that no robot can harvest your address! or by PM)
The patch files are the same for Windows and Mac, right?

Post

I put it in ~/Library/Audio/Presets/u-he/Zebra2/ and seems to work fine for me. The user patches are under the user's presets folder, not the system one.

Pancra85,
I sent you a private message concerning your patch with my e-mail address. I looked for the patch again & I couldn't find it anywhere in Zebra, including the User section of patches.

Pancra85 & others,
I got your patch, and this time I put it in a known folder within the Zebra patches. Then I was able to find it. I think it sounds great! Thank you! I just bumped up the Reverb so the Wet setting is 69.50, and I like it a bit more. Fantastic! :) Later I bumped up the Envelope 1 release to 22.5 and liked it better yet.

And here's a video of 'Cars' (click on the link):

Hey! I'm glad it worked and that you liked it!!
I made the changes that you did and will try it later because now my keyboard is not connected.
