cool arrangements and changes. The quieter sections sound quite mysterious, and quite a contrast from te more tarncey bits. Great build up towards the end, and that was a cool resolution and end.

That was definitely an interesting listen, and fit my mood well this morning. Nice work!

Thanks for listening and commenting, Matt. Glad you liked it. I hope I didn't make you too dizzypolyslax wrote:Ok, on subsequent listens I feel familiar with the track and anticipate the changes that had my head spinning a bit last night. It actually paints a really beautiful scene this one. Really enjoyed this Tim!

Thanks kryptonaut. Glad you enjoyed it. That synth at the beginning is vivaldi MX. I think this was the first FM synth I ever used on a track. I'm not normally a great FM fan but this synth has quite an individual sound.kryptonaut wrote:Very enjoyable - I like the different styles of percussion, with the ethnic sounds towards the beginning and the more trancey sections later on. And the mysterious feel of the synth sounds at the start is very nice too. Lots to listen to here!

Thanks very much for the comment and listen hagever. If you are referring to the tuned percussion sound at the point where you commented on SoundCloud, that is Synth1. The patch is called Belathon from one of the Teksonic patchbanks on KVR.hagever wrote:I like how it goes from super calm into "ravey" mode. That bellish percussion sounds very tasty. What are you using for that?

Thanks for listening and the comments Mike. My next remix will be much more sedate and ponderous, almost recuperativemikusan wrote:Great track Tim, you manage those shifts in mood/style so seamlessly. Nicely judged sound choices as ever, and it makes I wanna dance...oh dear I may have twisted something--hope it pops back into place...![]()

The original composition and recording session was quite straightforward. The tricky bit was the remix after 2 years. That was when all the detail was added and was much more troublesome. I think most of it turned out ok in the end. The next remix should be a much simpler process.

Ok thanks. I'll try to look at that in the next few days.mrblitz000 wrote:yeah, the kick at 1:56-2:25... and in the sections beginning at around 3:10 and 5:49
it's just that i could hear it at a rave or a club, being driven more by a kick in those sections.. it sounds great the way it is, though.
