not sure if you are the interviewer etc, but to me in these days of multimedia a video or at least an audio interview just catches my interest way more than reading..

It was done by a mate of mine. I'll pass on the idea of audio/video. Thanks!

In these days of spraygun amateur video clips with muffled audio, I often prefer reading.

To the trained and literate reader, a well structured written text offers almost instantaneous browsing and the option of quickly selecting morsels of interest. You can go back, you can pause, you can review - all without having to operate keys or buttons. Beats watching linear media more often than not.

All IMHO, of course… ;-)

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

both then? For instance cnn's online video stories have both.

Doesn't really matter.. the text was short enough to get me to read it :hihi:

Great interview :)

I noticed dmbaer on the byline, nicely done!

Text vs. audio and video? Crafty writing is highly underrated in all three.

Very nice mag great run down on the Diva, and the mini interview was well done. I like the format and don't miss video and audio at all. I suppos audio examples of Diva in action could be relevant though.

Great !

Thanks for the feedback.

And Astrin (the OP of this thread) has hinted about an upcoming Zebra article in WSM. No details available (unless he wants to divulge them). So, watch this space, I guess. :)

I'd say a good chunk of CNN.com articles are by volunteers too. :hihi:

I prefer text reviews/articles than video. I hate having to load a video clip to watch something of that nature. Our brains would turn to mush if we all went to videos for everything... exercise the mind.. read.

Besides it's a lot better to read on lunch break than trying to load a video :ud: Plus I may not want to read it all.. I can skim the article to find the parts I want to see. No such ability with a video.

your video player can't skip? I do it all the time on youtube :-)
but there you have it, the majority have spoken :-)...

Hasn't changed my opinion though...look at the hans zimmer video interview that was spoken about recently here, I personally would not have gotten 10% of the sense of the man without the visual and audio.
but the majority has spoken, so I will go back quietly into my little corner :-)
