I was actually thinking of releasing this one tomorrow - but for once in a while I finished before schedule :)

Modern Bass Expander is a collection of 227 bass sounds and started out as a normal bread & butter collection of bass sounds - but during the exploration of the filters and oscillators the collection grew and took a definite turn to the more modern with nasty wobbles, insane pitch loops, bass stabs, massive synth stacks and simple arpeggios and sequences.

The soundset costs 7.90 euro until march 11th - after that the price will rise to its regular price of 9.90 euro.

Hope you will like the collection. It was a pleasure making the sounds. Diva is definitely one of the hottest synths right now. The filters are amazing. Now if only Urs would abandon his idea of keeping true to the style and add distortion and compression (and step sequencer/modulator and arpeggiator and parallel filters and omg-I-have-to-stop-now).

I must say that Diva has grown on me like nothing else. First I started out by making a very simple collection of basses, based on the Moog oscillators and a Juno filter - that combination is instant gratification. But the longer I worked with it - the more I started to really appreciate the other oscillators and filters. The Korg filters are amazing - you can push it hard without getting that crazy resonance - and the FM-ish capabilities of the Moog oscillators is just perfect to add some harder egde.

Glad you like the sounds - I'm madly in love with Diva. I've always been an Fxpansion Synth Squad fanboy but Diva is my new favourite to-go synth. Best money I've spent in a long time.

I like the variety in this pack, and there are lots of great and useful tones in here, for an unbeatable price.
It's a pity though that neither modwheel nor velocity ever do anything to the sound. I guess this pack is more for the producer than the performer, but then again that's kind of what you said in the description on your website.

Still, very good sounds all in all.

Well, don't take it as me being lazy

Assigning the modwheel is just a click away and then it's assigned all over the presets - so I thought the best would be if the user would decide that themselves. Personally I like having my cutoff there - but it can be anything really.

Re. velocity - well. Damn it. I personally hate velocity controlled sounds (volume or filter) - so I guess I overlooked that one.

But yes - they are intended for production in a sequencer rather than live performances. I guess I'm so deep in my own thinking that I don't even consider anyone might come from a different point

No worries, there's a niche for all of us :)
It's a cool set, no regrets here!

Picked this up based on the demo. Some good sounds in here. I don't miss the velocity, it's actually nice for what I'll use this set for.

Great house sounds!

Don't worry about lack of velocity control over those sounds :) - I think you made the right decision.

Too bad it doesn't offer less-electro (I tend to say less commercial) sounding, "raw analog" stuff as used in Deep House (judging by the demo sound). Especially looking for Minimoog stuff with modulated cutoff/emphasis.

When I create patches on my own I often end up asking myself what the final element missing could be or have a glitchy side sound I try to kill. Just need a bit more practice. At least I can't blame Diva :hihi:
Actually, I have been thinking of making a new soundsset. Last months, I've been digging in the deepest parts of Kontakt 4 and although it's quite possible to get good things out of Kontakt - I have a huge desire of working with a real good synthesizer, and Diva is the first that comes to mind... :)

In other words - I am quite open for suggestions!
