Zebra 2 Demo seems to be inconsistent with VCF

Hello, I recently downloaded the Zebra 2 Demo and am playing with in the latest FL Studio. I realize that it goes out of tune on its own for Demo reasons, but when applying multiple layers of effects, most notably the VCF and anything that makes the sound wobble like a dubstep sound, only sometimes will the note actually execute the VCF, otherwise it plays everything besides that. Even when exporting the file, it does this. I am not sure what the problem is. My computer is i-5 2500k + 16gb 1600mhz ram + solid state drive + radeon 6970 + ecs motherboard with high definition audio. The one thing I am missing is a soundcard, but would this be my problem? Even when exporting the file?

Can you post the sound easily? Or a preset, or are you using a factory preset?

If it helps...I was following a Skrillex Imitation tutorial on making this sound.

I think xh3rv was asking if you can post the preset you made so others can try it out.

Also, I'm not sure what you mean by "only sometimes will the note actually execute the VCF". Are you trying to modulate the filter cutoff somehow and it's not working as you expect?

Post

No, what I mean is that using the same preset in the same measure the effect will have a different effect on each note sometimes, as if it "forgot" to work some of the effects on the note. How do I post a preset?

I have a quick guess - are you using the VCF in the bottom effects grid? That comes after all the voices are mixed. Using a filter here is more like putting a filter plug-in after Zebra than a VCF in the synth grid - the synth grid is duplicated per-note since in Zebra, each note gets one voice.

Hmm, not coming up - is it 'private'? :S

Patches for u-he stuff have a .h2p extension and are pretty small, can be hosted on file-locker type site (I suppose they might fit on http://tinypaste.com/ too). I don't know where patches end up on Windows systems, that's probably the trickiest bit :hihi:

Scratch the old guess :hihi:

My best guess with the audio is the LFO might be on 'free' rather than 'sync'. From the manual:

Restart
free: the LFO starts at a random position within its wave every time a note is played gate: the LFO always starts at the same position in its wave (see Phase below)

Please read the manual.
