Hi all,

I'm new here. Usually hang at VI control.
Anyways, I bought Zebra 2.

Love the sound.

QUESTION:

Why won't the MSEG tempo sync properly to Logic9?

Spent 3 hours making a bass pulse pattern with the MSEG1 controlling Cutoff of XFM...
MSEG is set to 16th note.

when i change bpm in Logic it DOES affect speed of MSEG pattern, however within sequencer it drifts and is NOT locked.

I'm dying over here ;-)

thanx,
best

Make sure the MSEG "time unit" is set to anything other than seconds... hmm you did mention it's set to 16th note.

Make sure the attack, loop and release are set to center or fixed numbers like 1, 1.5, 2... etc.

Might be a bug, dunno as I don't have Logic nor a Mac.

Hi 3ee,
thanx for trying to help

All points are set to beats.
This is a really standard thing to do instead of using Appregiators and much more flexible.
It's bread and butter Absynth procedure....

hmmmm

u-he god are you out there?

The most obvious reason for synched time not synching would be the attack/loop/release knobs ([e] Looks like 3ee got that). It could be so many things, though.

I would guess the answer is plainly stated in the MSEG section, but at the least it's helpful to eliminate some things. The 'trigger' modes could be relevant, just a guess though.

The MSEGs follow tempo changes from automation in Live (using AU in LIve 8.2.8 ) without a problem.
So the rate of the MSEG doesn't change at all when you automate tempo in logic, though the time unit it set to Sixteenths/Quarters/Notes? What happens if you adjust the tempo manually?

What version of Zebra do you have installed?

Thanx to ALL for helping.
The "loop" parameter looked center but it was @ "-0.10"...

I have that new MAC mouse with which you can change the value of a knob without knowing you did by sliding your hand ever so slightly while hovering over the knob ;-)

thanx to all of you...
