Well I'm working on the tempo stuff, currently and so the next beta will be tomorrow most likely, if you can live without the CC sequencers for a day then you should be alright as long as the tempos are sounding right as that's what I'm deconstructing.

It's just 3 and 4 so i'll keep using it. Btw how do you translate nrpns that go beyond 127, a lot of the mophos go into the hundreds but the highest lsb i can input is 127 in the A300 Pro's editor.

BETA 30
* Fixed a bug where the triggers could not reset correctly every now and then when sync mode is enabled.
* Added 64ths but have also re-labelled the tempos so that it ties in with the host instead of the internal clock, so now 32 is 16 etc.... The 64ths do not respond to double step however.
* Added Master Clock option to the master section. You can now instantly half/double/quarter the internal clock resolution. However note that it is not designed to be used live, things will go out of sync if it's changed whilst sequences are playing. Hitting retrigger or re-starting the sequences will bring them back in sync.
* Moved Scale Mode, FW and Back Amount to the Advanced Screen.
* Back and Forward 8 steps added.
* Extended the keyboard by 2 octaves, 1 either end.
* Added a speed CC Control for the stutter, CC 104 now decides how many steps there are between each stutter, 1 is normal. So you can either assign a knob between 1 and 8 for example, or you could set up a series of momentary buttons for different step sizes so for example a button with the value 4 when pressed will stutter at 1/4 speed, a button at 2 will be half speed. You can set the buttons off state to 1 or 0 which is normal stutter behaviour.
* Added colour sections to the keyboard to highlight the Stutter Octave, the 2 main Sequence Octaves and the Pitch Octave.
Check out the 'I Feel Love' preset, still needs some work but it's a lot of fun

As far as I know you can't have a bigger number than 127, but there is a fine control CC for RPN/NRPNs which I think is used as a multiplier to achieve bigger values, perhaps they are talking about that?musikmachine wrote:It's just 3 and 4 so i'll keep using it. I feel love ... on the F# the note changes after the step with the note in the sequence?

Looking good!
The only thing Vortex doesn't do is wash dishes.
Couldn't find the I feel love preset.
The load scale works for me.

Sorry can't work out what you mean, it is 6am and I have some crazy vortex beats in phones. The F# is the keyboard bit at the beginning and the middle so it doesn't pitch shift if that's what you mean if you listen to the record you'll hear itI feel love ... on the F# the note changes after the step with the note in the sequence?
Great, can you open cubase, load vortex, click on the load scale and then send me the debug files from c: I think it's debug2.txt. It's important to not doing anything else and start loading from scratch, and only click on load scale once so that the info is useful.Cubase 6.5 the load squash2scale works for multisequence rescale, but not on main sequencer pages.

Needs to be loaded in a fresh project. Saved projects always have the presets that they had when they were added to the project initially.Couldn't find the I feel love preset.
Blimey take care! Where are you?In the middle of a tropical storm here

I'm the southern part of South Australia. A couple of hours ago a lightning strike hit a pine tree near the house and made a mess of it. Made me jump out of my skin. If it was any closer it could've been real nasty. I actually managed to record the moment it happened. It's pretty tropical out here.
Thanks for the concern

What I mean: in the I feel love preset, the sequence on note F# with tempo at 2, when you watch the sequence, the note doesn't trigger until the 1st grid step after where the note is placed.Astralp wrote:Sorry can't work out what you mean, it is 6am and I have some crazy vortex beats in phones. There are a debug, debug2 and debug3. After I followed you instructions, only debug3 had any data:Astralp wrote:Great, can you open cubase, load vortex, click on the load scale and then send me the debug files from c: I think it's debug2.txt. Also, on some of the sequences, also on 'I feel love,' when you repitch the note goes down ... but I don't see any easy way to set the direction of repitch?

I'll look into it tomorrow, I have been restructuring quite a bit. What I mean: in the I feel love preset, the sequence on note F# with tempo at 2, when you watch the sequence, the note doesn't trigger until the 1st grid step after where the note is placed.
Again not sure I follow, are you using the pitch octave triggers? If you are then you can set each one to whatever pitch you want via the advanced menu/Pitch Triggers at the top. For I feel Love I made C,D,E,F the keys you need to play the song faithfully.Astralp wrote:Cubase 6.5 the load squash2scale works for multisequence rescale, but not on main sequencer pages. Thanks for that, although it appears as though it should be working...SCALE MENU INIT 0

Maybe I don't understand. I've shut down for today. Do you mean in the advance menu pitch keyboard where you see the names of the notes, you can change/ reset the note in that display to play a different pitch on the specific repitch keyboard key?Astralp wrote:Again not sure I follow, are you using the pitch octave triggers? I thought it just transposed up by the amount of semitones between the C of that octave and what note you pressed.
Anyway, that's what I mean. When I pressed a key in the repitch octave, sometimes the note went down and I couldn't seem to find my way back to the original pitches of the sequence when I first played it.

Yep, they are 12 programmable pitch keys so you can assign any pitch adjustment to each key, that way you can have just the pitch changes you want laid out and in order you like
Oh and if you are wondering why some patches the pitch is sticky, it's the chan16 hold in the master section which makes them sticky for easy live use. I should probably rename that key now thinking about it..
Good Night!

I actually figured out about the Chan16 hold ... but missed the programmable repitch keys. This is fantastic!Astralp wrote:Yep, they are 12 programmable pitch keys so you can assign any pitch adjustment to each key, that way you can have just the pitch changes you want laid out and in order you like

But it does make me think of one more wrinkle ... probably too difficult, but asking for it is sooooooooooo easy!
Now if those repitch keys also could each be assigned a programmable 'squash2scale,' it would be freakin' awesome!
There's plenty of room on the Advance page to run the little 'squash2scale' keyboard vertically below each repitch key.
