Hey there is it possible to put the pitchbend on a x or y control-axis?
I want to automate the pitchbend, but i use zebra inside maschine where the automation-editing is very poor, so I try to link the pitchbend onto a macrocontrol (inside maschine) so I can automate the pitchbend within the daw.
Looking forward hearing your thoughs.

The PitchWheel is available as modulation source. Unfortunately you can't use the ModMatrix to put it on an XY, but you can of course modulate quite a few targets with it.

oh sry for describing it bad.
I don't want to use the pitchbend-wheel for various modulations, rather only for pushing the overall pitch in a certain time of my production.
Since I use Zebra in NI Maschine i could draw for every 16th or 32th note in a 8bar sequence each point, but thats a quite bothersome job.
So my idea is to get a Overall-Pitch (as the pitchbend is) on a macro, so i can layout the automation into ableton live (where i am able to draw lines, instead of maschine).
I hope i was able to describe my issue a bit better.
Thanks urs for the fast response!

Ah... other way round
I can't think of a quick makro directly. Though it's of course possible to put Osc Tune onto XYs.
I could try to write a script that could be loaded like a preset and attach XYs onto Oscillartors... but I can't do it straight away due to next week's trade show...
Maybe someone else has a solution?
Are we talking just oscillators or also FMOs, Comb filters, Filter Cutoff?

well there's a lot going on in that built patch,
fmo, oscillators and filtes (LFO controlled), Ring Modulations, Mixing etc., so I'm a bit afraid to change the overall sound when digging too much in there, so i try to achieve this by pitchbending, its really frustrating to have such weak editing capabilities in maschine.
so i guess there is no real solution for outsourcing this parameter.
is there any kind of knob inside zebra which is similar to the pitchbend?

There's no single knob, no.EpikureeR wrote:well there's a lot going on in that built patch,

Maybe you can use some MIDI utility to warp some controller into PitchBend messages? Or are you hosting Zebra inside of Maschine?

Is it not possible to use clip automation of pitchbend and feed that to Maschine here? Not familiar with Maschine at all.
Not sure this is on point - Could use an MMap in 'sum modulations' mode, with no sources other than the 'const' knob. Assign the MMap to the tune modulation slot on FMOs and such, for as many semitones as pitchbend would do. Then the 'const' knob can be picked up via Live's 'configure' and mapped onto a rack knob. About as many steps as putting tuning knobs on XYs, maybe a bit less fussy but also less flexible and less clear.
[e] Or even simpler, just 'configure' tuning knobs into Live's awareness and map those to rack macros.

Other hosts have nice things along these lines I gather (?), but Live doesn't have anything native here outside of Max4Live >.<Urs wrote:
