Just wondering if there is any documentation, I'd like to give it a try :)

I'm affraid that, depending on how much you want to change, there's going to be a lot of fiddling around with the script for the GUI. I remember when making the Zebra skin, around 60-70% of the work was looking up values in the script, changing them, load Zebra to look at the changes, and retype the value in RGB/pixels untill it was right.

I still have dozens of post-its lying around with RGB values, pixel values, which line in the scipt i could find what etc... lying around somewhere.

I don't know if it's changed for Tyrell and Diva, but i found the script for tyrell in the data folder, so i'm affraid there's quite some fiddling involved.

I assume you already know how to use Photoshop? A good starting point would be the data folder of Tyrell, and see what kind of graphics are inside there. Backup the data folder, and start changing those graphics.

As long as you don't want to change X/Y values of the knobs and sliders, and keep them the same size, there might be a minimum of scipt fiddling involved.

No documentation but there are a few ways.

1) Just replace the images, this is the least flexible way
2) Manually edit the script file
3) Enable the built in WYSIWYG editor

To enable the editor do this.

Create a default preset. Open it up in a text editor and add !EDITOR=YES to the end of the parameter list (before the section that says DO NOT TOUCH THIS). Next time you open the plugin it will be in editor mode.

Awesome! Thanks!

Does the default preset trick work in Tyrell? If so how do you make a preset the default?

Well here's my first skin, modified 1978 skin with Diva's 'Roland' knobs:

Here's the screenshot:

It's my first Uhe skin and yeah it's a knockoff :) but I hope you like it. I can easily make more colors if anyone requests and will try my hand at my own background tomorrow.

Sorry, my wording was ambiguous. Just take any patch and copy it, rename it to default and add that flag.

Got it working, thanks!

Or just use Wordpad/Textedit, create a new document, type that line, save as "default.h2p" into root preset directory.

On Mac, copy Scripts and Images from PluginName.component/Contents/Resources/ (right-click show package contents) to MacHD/Library/App...Supp.../u-he/PluginName/

Restart host, there you go.

Move/Resize knobs etc. toggle between editor and gui with esc, and definitely check right-click on all sorts of things, including the empty grey space (to save changes...).

Oh that helps a lot! Thanks!

There's also a "color lab". Press c on Mac and either c or a function key on PC.

There's more function palettes, but most of them are scary. As of today I guess I'm the only one who knows what they do  The transform one (x) might be useful, and the information one (i)

When designing Diva skins, make sure to use a 10 x 10 pixel raster. This is a prerequisite for the new resize algorithm.

Hopefully when Zebra gets a new GUI we'll also get some documentation for the built-in skin editor ;)

In Tyrell, if I use the editor the chorus isn't displayed, and if I save any changes the chorus remains gone. I am really wanting to know what the small square next to zero point in the NOISE knob is for, where that appears in the script so I can edit that. I think I'll only be working in Tyrell for now (Diva is just too beautiful as she is!), and maybe doing it by hand as ESC in Reaper is mapped to close windows and maybe the editor is a little incompatible with Reaper. Anyhow now that I have my knobs working how I want I will start working on a new background. Thanks again for your help!

In Reaper, you can use "Send all keyboard input to plugins" in the FX window toolbar.
