hi there. finally registered zebra2.5.

all went well with the rego. well i thought so!

i got some message about zebra.support not found in my vst folder,
{something like that anyway...wish i paid it more mind now!}
but,
the instance of zebra changed from demo mode to my username.

that is all kool then, is what i thought.

i then went and opened up a new project, and put a few instances up, and then notice they are all in demo mode.

anybody know what has happened?

and more to the point, how do i remedy this situation.

cheers.

Did you quit out of your daw, then restart your computer.
Check it again and see.

Hmmm,

You might have to just restart your DAW (no need to reboot the computer)

Othwrwise, it might be the infamous file permissions problem:

yes.. i had actually rebooted and opened a fresh live session.

i have now tried the moving of the data folder, and leaving a shortcake.

but that did not work at all. i just got a sign telling me something about the end of the world being imminent.

now, my vst folders are in a different place alltogether.

i put them in:
local disc {c} > users > myself > beryls vst plugins >
and in local disc {c} > users > myself > beryls 64 bit vst plugins >

i am not sure why i did it like that... but so far i think it has been ok.

so i wonder if the vst location is the issue here. any idea urs???

can i move all my plugs to a new location if needed ... and obviously tell live where to find them.

ok... thanx for any help offered, and thanx for replying the other day. it has taken me two days to get some spare time again to look into this issue.

oh, how many times can i reinstall and register before i get problems. i am tempted to try it all from scratch and see how that goes.

As many times as you want. No limit on that..afaik.

Reinstall, but first throw out all the old Zebra data and similar (except your presets)
Then reinstall, although you might want to install to the installers default location.
You could also maybe try registration using this SAVI-Host instead of your daw.

first check there is not more than 1 instance of Zebra in your vst folder

you could also try running your daw as administrator (right click, run as administrator) that should solve any permission issues

PsynwavArkitekt,

maybe send an email to support@u-he.com - we can send you an authentification file for manual registration. We also have a tool that checks if there are parallel installations on your harddrive.

thankyou Urs,

i will do that. i will do the whole re-install, re-register as suggested,by others, and see how it goes first, and if that fails, i will contact support at u-he.

how awesome is this. i buy a synth, {mind you i have used zebraCM for a few years, loved it and always wanted to upgrade,} and within hours of purchase, i have direct contact with the man who programmed it.

i must say, that that, is one thing that will keep me using u-he products forever...

let alone the sheer quality of the sounds and ease of use, and the versatility of the products at a wide range of sound production.

thankyou to everyone else that has offered help also. i am most impressed with the community here.

i ended up just removing all traces of zebra2. ie, manual uninstall.

then reinstall in the location i wanted, the same as before actually, and no worries. once i re-registered all is fine.

funny thing is, now all my other demos are not working, live8 wouldnt open properly , untill i got rid of them all. i am sure when i re-install it will be apples tho.

meant to let yall know last week, but have had too much fun with zebra.

thanks to everyone.

That's great.
I will suggest editing your original post subject, and add "solved" to it then.
