I know ultimately I need a new computer :) but was wondering what advice is available for getting the very most out of Diva with whatever hardware you may have. What buffer settings etc should be, what particulars may help/hurt Diva performance, and also I was wondering about that update that was scheduled for after Messe. I know I am not likely to get that much better performance from a Core Duo than I have, but any extra juice would be helpful.

Don't make or use sounds with long release times in Poly mode.
Don't use more than 2 "voices" in poly mode.
Use lower "quality settings".
Try "Poly2" mode over "Poly" mode sometimes, and see if it works good for that sound.
Don't use too high a poly voice setting. Sometimes 4 is better than 8.
If your chords played only use 4 notes, then making a setting of 8 will be useless, and drain cpu, unnecessarily.
Using pulse width PW waves seems to use more cpu, and so does the MS20 filters using the 2rev.
Latency settings are different for all systems, and daws, so no use in that.
I'm using the standard 512 in Live though.

Take care.
