Hello KVR,

If we could do this without it feeling like advertising, we would. We tried, but we couldn't. So here, in as few words as possible, is the announcement for OmniDisc # 001:

Image

OmniCom® International presents OmniDisc # 001, a bank of 76 patches for u-he DIVA.

Designed to illustrate some of the less explored capabilities of DIVA, OmniDisc # 001 is noisy and deliberately so. Never particularly modern or subtle, OmniDisc # 001 will probably disappoint anyone looking for their umpteenth MOOG bass or for something that a teenager would recognize. For everyone else, we have a total of 76 basses, leads and effects, ranging from the ever-so-slightly faulty to the very, very broken.

But, since talking about music is like dancing about architecture, there are 13 patches available to try at www.omnicom.info (http://www.omnicom.info) where the full bank is available to purchase for €3 EUR / $4 USD

Added to the PatchLib. :)
And here's a link for everyone else:

I might want to mention that adding colons in the filenames causes problems on Windows. I renamed the presets with hypens '-' in the demobank. Just an FYI.

And bought, definitely some different stuff, had a pretty nice groove goin after 5 min with that ext city-night patch and messing with the lfo rates :)

Definitely my favorite too! Reminded me of John Carpenter's 70s soundtrack style.

Just downloaded the demo bank. These are some truely unique and awesome presets! :-o
Really great! Exactly my kind of thing. The patch descriptions are nice too :hihi:
I really like the whole concept of this bank and I _LOVE_ the website :)

Reminds me of something I'd have seen on my c-64 in middle skool looking for text games on BBS boards. :hihi:

Well, hello!

We're glad to see that you're all enjoying the patches, there are some very nice things said here from people whose work we very much like too. We too have our favorite patches but we can't say anything in case it makes the other patches jealous. As for some of them having a John Carpenter vibe, that may be because one of us was once locked in the office for a whole weekend with nothing but a Betamax copy of 'Assault on Precinct 13' and a handful of Twinkies. Long story.

Thanks again!

Ah, the one downside of being an all-Mac operation! Thanks for the heads up, all our files have been updated and are now guaranteed 100% colon-free.

Thanks too for adding us to the PatchLib! Ooh, and for the clickable link!

A soundset like this for Zebra would be really nice by the way :)

We do like the sound of that but next up appears to be A.C.E.
We're working our way through every synthesizer in the world alphabetically so, expect OmniDisc # 772 for Zebra in about 20 years.
Hopefully, by then, engineers will have created computers capable of running the fabled 'Divine' mode and we can start our second bank for DIVA.

As for the whole of the 'Assault on Precinct 13' story, it started with Bill the intern falling asleep whilst trying to xerox his face - anything to get out of designing sounds that kid. He woke up, alone, Saturday morning and, since he has an irrational fear of telephones, he spent the rest of the weekend holed up in Conference Room B crying and eating Twinkies.
Sadly, we had to let him go after that and, as part of the settlement agreement, none of us can really talk about it in more detail. But, suffice it to say that having the office to yourself for 48 hours hours is all fun and games until you realize that the caretaker left with the only key to the only bathroom. Bill really wasn't the same after that weekend. And we had to buy new carpet.
