No font showing in Zebra2 Demo?! Drives me crazy :-(

Hi everybody, i just downloaded the demo version of Zebra2, wich is great i believe..
But, after installing i just loaded up the plugin, and there is sound but it dont show the font inside the plugin..
I try'd to install the font, but that didnt work
Please help me!!!

Windows 7 x64 SP1
FL Studio 10 as well Cubase 6 (In both daws it doesnt work)
Plugin installed as 32 & 64 bit, same troubles.

Hi Barry, it might be a permissions thing and Zebra isn't able to read all its data folder correctly. Take a look at the suggestions in this thread: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=306890

Hmm, weird.. All other plugins works good, never had any troubles..

Hm, i did what it says > i cut the map zebra.data to my documents, making an shortcut to it and put it into the map of the zebra2 (dll)..
same trouble, plugin works, and with sound, it just dont show the font

Btw, in zebralette and zebrify its the same error..
plugins are working and sound is working, but it just dont show its font using in the plugin

i can switch to another sound in the browser, but i cant see the names.

You need Lucida Sans Unicode on your system:

C:\Windows\Fonts\l_10646.ttf

This is usually installed on Windows, but we've seen cases where it disappeared.

I'm sorry to say, but that wont work either..
I installed (lucida-sans-unicode-ttf-130861) as well the l_10646.ttf (again), but none of them worked!
I uninstalled the plugin, and installed on another drive, but with no luck..
I don't know what the problem is, but i don't get the point while other plugins works perfect...
I have many plugins installed, so i dont want to install windows again.
It will cost me couple days to install everything again

I have never had any troubles with plugins, this is the first time i loaded up an (demo) and there is some trouble wich i dont like!

Hmmm. I don't know about "Lucida Sans Unicode Standard". C:\Windows\Fonts\l_10646.ttf should just work though, with any TrueType font renamed to that. At least, this has usually fixed the issue. Thus I'm sorry if I can't help you here.

This comes up often as of late, so we've decided to do fonts in a completely different way in future. We hope to have an update for Zebra around July that is independent of system fonts.

I think it is an windows related problem, due rights or something, but i cant find the problem
Why does u-he using its own font?
Is it possible i can try to change the font used in the plugin(s), just to look what it does?
I know the "font" is in the data map, i try'd to install the font as link, but also as normal install.. No change so far..
(Windows says also that its installed allready)

Have you downloaded something like SAVihost: http://www.hermannseib.com/english/savihost.htm or Cantabile Lite: http://www.cantabilesoftware.com/lite/ to make sure it's not a problem with u-he and FLstudio? If none of those apps work there's a good chance it's something to do with how the u-he plugs are installed (or windows). If they do work then it's something to do with FLStudio <-> Zebra.

Well, i would install it to try, but i'm for sure its not gonna work..
I try'd it in cubase as well in fl, and ableton a hour ago but all does the same >
It will load up the zebra/ace plugin, but no text.
There is text in the default skin in the upper part, perform/synthesis/patches, but when i switch to dark horse skin eve that text is gone :S
can it be an service in windows wich i disabled?
last week i did some tweaks on windows 7, like disabling services wich i dont use, can it be something in that?
