Just thought I'd add: I'm have the "some notes are silent" bug here too, not all of the time though. Indeed I've one project that has worked fine almost every time I've loaded it, yet on one occassion I loaded it and Diva was dropping certain notes.

This is with the latest version of Diva 1.0.1(Rev517) on Windows 7 SP1 64-bit, Reaper 4.15 32-bit.

We might have a fix... not sure... we might want to seed a build to those who experience freezes by mid of next week...

Just something to try out and see.
Try changing the note steal order, or what ever it's called.
It's at the bottom section, and is "last" on default.
Try it at "lowest" or "highest" setting to see if it helps.
Certain types of mono/legato sounds cut out for me when playing, until I switched the note order settings, like that.
See if it works.

Will give it a go, cheers!

Thanks for the tip.

Note priority doesn't fix my problem.

I tried changing the mode on the silent diva from mono to poly and the sound came back on putting it back to mono it went silent again so put it back to poly then so it was working and I changed to another preset and it went silent with a bit of crackle and stayed that way even when changing presets tried putting it back to the same preset and mono to poly and it was silent.

Thanks for the update Urs.

i'm having a really annoying issue with diva in which the GUI won't open up in ableton live 8.2.8 on just one instance of a project i'm working on.

i tried everything, copying the synth and then deleting it only for it too do the same thing in which the GUI won't open .

is there anyway i could force it to open the gui without having to make the patch from scratch again?

Are you on Mac? - If you are using VST and AU, then there's a conflict with Apple's Cocoa stuff, as the same code is being loaded twice. You'll be able to show VST (old Carbon code), but not AU. In that case I'd recommend to replace one with the other, e.g. open all VSTs, save the preset and replace with AU. Then, once all VSTs are replaced you can restart Live and the AUs will show again, as long as no Diva.vst is loaded.

It's an unfortunate nuisance and we're going to provide a workaround some time later this year.

I am having an issue where, when playing back long notes (like pads etc) with Diva where I get stuck notes, so bad that sometimes I have to start/stop playback 3 or 4 times just to get it to stop.

Post

The only issue I have with Diva is that the preset name is missing from the top of the page when I load a song in Cubase 7.5 or Studio One Pro 2.6 with some of my favorite Diva presets and then open up one of the Diva instances I cannot see the name of the preset that is loaded. I can see the description and hear the preset but not the name of the preset, it only says either "..." or "Diva ... registered to (my name)". If I manually open up a presets then the name of the preset is shown correctly. The reason this is an issue is because I have many instances of Diva and sometimes I dont recall what presets are used, and the only way to find out that I know of is comparing the preset description with the presets in my diskfolders which take some time.. I am now going to enter the preset names as tracknames in cubase and get a little more organised, but I still would like this fixed. Btw. I am using Windows 8.1 64bit and Diva 1.3.1 64bit.

u-he VST3 is used at your own responsibility/risk. Definitely use VST2 if at all possible.

yes, and I suspect thats an old build as well. I did have that problem with vst3 but the next build it is fixed...

try here for the latest ones....http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 6#p5865626

and yes, even the read me now says, if you can, stay away from the vst3 verisons. Urs et al are planning to redo them at some point at some time.

IN all of u-he products, at least using the original skin, there is a four digit number on the interace somewhere that shows you the build number.

Got it.
Diva 1.3.1 Rev 2165
Btw. I just found out that I have the same issue with Zebra 2.7.0 rev 2126 vst3.
I also just found out that the selected preset name at the top of Diva is replaced with "Diva 1.3.1 Registered to xx" if I close the windows of a Diva instance and reopen it.
I simple have this issue with the missing preset name whenever I open up an instance of Diva vst3 or Zebra vst3, not just when I open up a song or template.
The solution I am going to use for the moment is : Whenever I find a preset I want to use I save it as a Cubase VST3 preset, because then the preset name at least is shown in the track properties of Cubase. It would be nice if I could batch-create VST3 presets of all Diva presets and Zebra presets, because there are so many great sound presets for these two beasts.
