Thanks very much. That original bassline was fairly insipid. I took my eye off the ball there.

Then again, I was a bass player.

So was I. I hope to be again if/when I can get hold of the right drumkit

But really, I think in the very first bass section, if anything it might be a little too prominent now, but that's only if I was forced to give a criticism. Its level seems to be perfect everywhere else.

I think it is fairly noticeable when it first hits during the quiet part but I kinda like it now.

On the whole I really like this piece. I'm going to pay more attention to your releases from now on. The whole "seismic" thing kinda threw me and I guess I was expecting dubstep or something.

seismic could refer to my fascination with dynamite or my day job. I prefer the explosive angle


Funny you should mention dubstep. I was playing with a Reese sound yesterday trying to gel it with some garage percussion. I have almost got it sounding the way I want it. Of course, I hope to use it out of context. It may even see the light of day in about 18 months

That's an excellent piece of music that. Bloody good value for money too as there's a bit of everything in there

Not once does it feel cluttered or unnecessary though, very well crafted.

Each one of your tracks is like going to a new Indian restaurant where everything is somehow familiar, yet there's always a little surprise on the menu somewhere

Finally got the chance to tune in and have a listen to your latest piece. A great trip, some really lovely sounds and groovy grooves.

Special mention: the bassline in the closing few minutes is masterful - there's something about the economy of a good bassline that only a (good)bassist can come up with

Nice one! Like others have said, there's a good sense of movement in there, and a good feeling of cohesion from start to finish. Reminded me of some of the "action" themes in the Mass Effect soundtrack (hope you don't hate comparisons like that).

This is one of those tracks that could go on for twenty minutes.

I was never a good bassist. I think the best that could be said was that I turned up . I know what you mean about that bassline though. There is often a temptation to embellish, where simplicity is more effective.

I think I would have to up the ante on the mixing/production side quite dramatically to justify comparisons with music of that calibre

Thanks very much for checking this out again DHM. I prefer the newer version. I think that reference to a sad feeling may be due in some part to the slow LFO sweep on the main melody. Glad you enjoyed it
