K4 'stock' instruments L O N G load-time

Over the past 6 or 7 months, I've converted 250+ patches from EWQL0 Gold & Platinum, previous customized patches from Kompact & K2 etcetera - into Kontact 4 - it's awesome.
On my Receptor, many of the Orchestral patches that came with K4 are very good, but when I save them to a Multi, they take a ridiculous amount of time to load.
I'm aware that they have various articulations and/or groups that load all at once.
With this in mind, and in an effort to minimize the load on memory, I've been saving the instruments/patches I want, after 'disengaging' the extras that I don't use. I also try to minimize the reverbs... this should work - right?
It doesn't, and I can't figure out how to fix this.
I load other, very large samples in 5 or 6 seconds; these are taking 20 or more seconds, with Z-Load on and even after consecutive re-loads - there's still a painful delay.
Anyone else noticed this?
I'd really like to know how to speed up the load-times of these patches.
Thanks,

Are you running Kontakt with multiprocessor support enabled? I found that with it enabled, Kontakt load times were considerably longer, ironically, and others have seen the same thing.

Yes, it should be an asset. I'm no expert on the internals of Kontakt, but I believe multiprocessor support should mean you can run more instances, or more layers/effects etc., before you start to run out of processing power. But from what I've found, although you can see the CPU usage go up a bit with multi processor support disabled, it's not by very much.JayVee wrote:Shouldn't the Multi Processor support be an asset (not a liability)?
What's the down-side of turning it off?
I'm hoping the longer load time for Kontakt with multiprocessor support enabled is a bug that can be addressed. I also had some stability problems with it enabled, which went away when I disabled it (using the latest Receptor OS).

Have you tried Batch compressing and resaving? This dramatically speeds up Kontakt 4 loading times. Often just resaving a patch after loading it can speed up loading significantly.

Batch Compressing?
Now I think I've had this conversation before. I'm embarrassed to say that it sounded complicated & a little dangerous ~ I can't afford any down-time with my Receptor.
Might there be a good explanation of what Batch Compressing is, and clear instructions on how to do it on my Receptor?

So who can tell me about Batch Compressing on Receptor?JayVee wrote:Batch Compressing?
