Just played with it and it's really something! :hyper

Had the pp money so got it so I don't have to deal with that stupid sound cutting out anymore :x

Just downloaded the Demo to try it out. Unfortunately i don't seem to be able to alter the sound in any way. i load presets, nothing changes. I tweak knobs, nothing changes. The only thing that takes effect is the output-knob.

It'snot meant to be that way, or is it? :)
That's definitely not normal. You do at least know that this is a cabinet simulation, not an amp modeler, right? Sorry if I'm insulting your intelligence, but this has come up before. Applying cabinet simulation to raw DI tracks of guitars will sound very subtle.

If you do fully realize that, and there appears to be an actual bug, please let me know what host DAW you're running, in what operating system. Include version numbers. Thanks!

.oO...I HATE that sound cutting out crap :x Limited time in one form or another would be better.
I'm starting to think so, too... you're not the first person to complain, and as a producer myself, I totally sympathize. One thing I've learned over the last few years is that customers and pirates are (mostly) two VERY different groups of people (with minimal overlap), but so often customers get punished for the problems that pirates create.

Having the sound cut out sucks, absolutely. Therefore the demo mode sucks. This must be dealt with ASAP. How does everyone feel about 14 day demos and the like?

haha! Well, I love it! BUT, I already bought it :hihi:

Seriously, just got through jammin' with it and it's the sizzle for certain! :D

A 14 to 30 day demo period is the best way to get me to buy a plugin as I'm likely to use it in projects. The problem I have with 14 days is I'll start the demo period at what I think is a good time, then get busy at work or have something come up, and next thing I know the demo is over.

I've seen some companies do 20 day trials. I've also seen 14 day trials that can be renewed once. Lots of approaches to demos out there, but clearly time limits are cooler than silent gaps or noise bursts. Thanks for the great feedback!

DMG offers 30 days (I also obtained it to be renewed, although I bought the plug while waiting for a response :-D). Just another example as I'm not bothered by noise bursts, if they are reasonably spaced: 1 sec every 20 or something is not cool, no.

Anything about the pan option? Not vital, but would be cool to see it implemented - if not, please keep this into consideration for Recabinet 4 :)

Cheers

Stereo panning is still planned going forward.

haha, that was going to be my question. Nice to know it's being thought of.

One thing that would be nice is a back/forth button next to save/load so that you can more easily cycle through the saved cab settings.

Something else I thought of. It's a little hard to tell how the gain staging is going at times with recabient. Some nice meters that show where you are in the digital world would be a bonus :)

Post

There's not going to be any radical changes to the UI (metering etc.) until Recabinet 4. In the mean time, if you need metering, simply use your DAW's meter, or your favorite metering plugin.

Here's some quick level tips. With the default preset loaded, the output level of the plugin should be perceptually about the same loudness as the input signal with the plugin bypassed. If you need more or less level from your preset, the master output knob in the top right of the plugin is good for that.

Cool, it's no big. I was just mentioning it :)

Just to give another perspective, I think that would be a bad idea. I have used plug-ins in the past with long duration "random noise bursts" by just bouncing multiple tracks and combining them. Effectively bypassing the "protection".

A 7 day trial should be enough time to demo a product and I think that's what IK Multimedia does and as we know they are quite popular.

Heck one plugin only noise bursted while rendering so I just set up a loopback into my interface to bypass the protection because I was a cheapskate. I eventually bought that plug-in but still...

I think IK does 10 days. 7 would definitely not be enough, as I may only have a a few hours to really work on music in a week. I never know. It just depends on how work/life go. I think 10 days would even be too short, 14 would be good, 15 or above would be fantastic.

I think 7 days w/o the sound cutting out is far better than any days with that!

BTW, Have I mentioned how happy I am with this??

:D
