The synth that comes in at 1:30 is GenesisCM1.02. I think that there is a PRO version on the way soon.

No time to read the thread..just listened and was impressed with the production and thought behind the construction.
Some parts i'd have to say less is more..like the upper ranged Casio melody sound. I thought that wasn't needed and diverted attention from the other things going on behind it.
One repeating section I thought would have worked better cutting down on the drum pieces. Maybe just a hi-hat hit keeping the time would have diverted more listener attention towards the synth/pad work.

I liked it. Well thought through.

The "Casio" sound was actually Waldorf Wave 2.V. I used to run it on my old XP machine but it died in October last year. I reloaded it on my Win-7 machine, but there was a vital point release which was only downloadable from the Waldorf site, that enabled the load/preset feature! This download is no longer available, so I am restricted to using factory banks. The upshot of this is that every time I reopened the project, I had to reprogram the "tape-reverse effect" synth from an existing preset.

The Casio sound was the closest I could get to another non-factory preset from the 2-year old version of this track without having to memorise more parameter changes. Now I know how Tangerine Dream used to feel before gigs back in the '70s. Actually, I already knew. I used to have a Crumar polyphonic synth back in '79. Our band used to use about 4 sounds from that at gigs/rehearsals and no 2 performances were the same

I hear what you're saying about the drums/percussion, but I've got this penchant for violence

I guess that's why I bought the Roland kit

My next track currently has less drums/percussion on it, but I feel that it sounds empty/sparse without that percussive layering.

I have 3 or 4 softer ambient pieces under development, but with my workrate and schedule I doubt whether they will be ready for public consumption this side of Christmas
