The manual states "Context Menu (right-click on a handle) The Remove Point (min. = 2), Loop Start and Loop End functions are self-explanatory"

ok that is wonderful.. now what does that mean and where can I find the Loop options? :hihi:

when I right click on the beginning or ending of a loop the normal MSEG context menu loads but there is no mention of loop start, loop end, loop-anything.

:help:

Post

Ok I figured it out after more furious, frustrated, blind clicking.. :hihi:

what the manual means when it says 'handle' is MSEG 'Point', 'node', or 'dot'

click on a dot on the MSEG window and you will get the Loop options.

I was clicking on the actual Loop portion of the MSEG window expecting loop options would be there.. (one would fink right?)

Post

Hehe... yeah... ok... "handle" might be misleading in this context

Post

(Edit) Hmmm - maybe I should call them *points* after all... although it's pretty obvious from other parts of the manual. Edit again: I decided to add the following to page 11...

Handles
Throughout this manual, small objects that can be moved around (in oscillator waveform editors, MSEGs, EQs, X/Y pads and elsewhere) are called handles.

"Node" seems a better wording to me.

"Handle" always reminds me of doors. :D

And MSEGs are the doors to the twisted otherworld of wobblbass, so I think is correct :D

I can't for the life f me figure out how to turn the looping on the MSEG's off?
You know, to just have it retrigger without looping.

Set loop start and end both to the last point of your envelope :)

Thanks - I'll add this stuff to the manual (including "node"!)

I thought that just switched the looping on instead of off?

Post

If loop start and end coincide in the same point then there is no loop. It just rests…?

(maybe I misunderstand the question?)

Post

Ah, ok. No it's ok, I was the one misunderstanding your explenation :ud:

(Yes, I realize that this is an age-old thread.)

I can not find a way to turn looping off in MSEG. If I read the above right, setting Start and End to the same point should set loop to Off, which makes sense. Except, I can not seem to set them to the same point. HELP!

(I might actually have been in this situation before, but I do not recall the solution. I doubt that I will be the last person to struggle with this, so maybe an Loop on/off button for Zebra3? :-D )

Post

Anybody? :-D

It seems that the set of commands in the context menu aren't quite right in recent versions. Here's a workaround: Create a new point to the right of the loop start, set it to loop end then delete it again.
