are you saying he was cutting edge? :o

not me... I think it was Sting that said it, and he should know, being a teacher and all. :hihi:

On a more somber note... I know this is flogging a dead horse, but I think it's really sad that such a talented developer seems to have left the plugin world. I just re-read an old interview on Amazona.de, where he talked about plans for upcoming synths and effects... too bad they never happened. Maybe he sold TOO many copies and founded a harem in Burundi, or something.

The answer is NONE !

They have only ever been licensed :dog:

Which just goes to prove you don't always need cutting edge to make music.
Yes, but can you make cutting edge music with them?

Cutting edge is borne out of creativity, not tools.
So, you're saying that Jimi Hendrix would have been cutting edge even with a lyre from ancient Greece?

Disclaimer: I certainly hope no one's taking this seriously.
Jimmy was a lyrist? Was he a closet minstrel? :hihi:

Apparently he didn't sell enough to make a 64-bit version for Mac. I bought it a couple of years ago but most people I've talked to have just downloaded it and never paid for it. I like it and wish he would make a 64-bit mac au-version.
Talked to him a while back and he said that in order to make a 64-bit mac version he more or less had to rewrite the whole thing which he didn't see happening in the forseeable future.

maybe 200-400 pieces ??
If that would be the case, Sylenth1 soundsets would get very very low sale-counts :hihi:

During the x-mas sale over 400 groupbuy subscribers get there Sylenth copy. So overall i would guess, 2500 would be the minimum, if the darkside of the www would not provide so many "copies" of plugins i would guess 5000+ ...

that's the first actual response to a request for a 64bit AU i've heard...and it's depressing. i love S1, but am concerned about whats next; hopefully logic X (or whatever) continues to offer a 32bit bridge (which is already buggy in logic 9).
but i need the bridge...for sylenth1.

i use S1 a LOT, and hope we see something...sometime. but am (no longer, sigh) holding my breath.... :(

Ditto :-)

I'm holding on my money, hoping for a clear out sale of Sylenth1 when Sylenth2 approaches 8)

The way that Lennar has played this, if Sylenth 2 is ever announced it will most likely break the internet.

Post

Maybe as a freebie with Computer Music like Z3TA+ was? Well one can always hope....

Post

TBH I think sylenth2 and AU64 is very unlikely...blame the warez downloaders.

All in all a shame but still it holds its own even with newer releases.

I am sure it will become a vintage plugin of choice one day ;)

if i ever lose the 32bit bridge in logic (which is buggy to begin with), am screwed.
i think if we got the offer for a 64bit AU, macusers would pay for such an upgrade (i would)...

If it does get discontinued (which would not be especially surprising as Apple can be prone to dropping legacy support a bit quickly for some) then I'd be pretty surprised if somebody didn't make a third party bridge, there must be a lot of pieces of software where the dev(s) moved on to other things (a Carbon to Cocoa port is really unappealing btw) that would make this desirable.

yeah...maybe LOL. right now, sylenth1 is the only app i have left that HASN'T been moved to 64bit.
but will take it one day at a time; what else is there to do? (i can't torture lennard with any more emails...!)
