Dawn Is A Feeling, just all of it, on the original LP mix.
It's... wow. So spacious, psych rockie. I love it. Same for the Story In Your Eyes. The Tron work is amazing.
God, I love Moody Blues.

It's national wake the dead day
Here's what is really scary, when I saw this pop back up and saw the date (14 months ago!) and don't feel like this thread could possibly be that old

I remember as a kid I was very baffled when I first heard the Tarzan yell.
I always tried to redo it (and failed miserably of course
)
I still think it's quite a cool sound.
also some interesting read on Wiki about it:

I have a washing machine with some kind of spring over the door and when I slowly slide the door, rubbing it against the spring, it makes very very creepy sounds, much like a waterphone (and it can get interesting harmonics). Will record one day.

I love the sound of the T-Rex roar in Jurassic Park, gotta hear it loud in the theater though. =)
As for music, way too many I'd mention here, a few I'll mention are:
Jon Anderson's voice in the "Legends" soundtrack.
That higher pitched trumpet-sorta sound in Penny Lane.
The bowed-guitar solo part of the live version of Dazed and Confused on the The Song Remains the Same.

One of my favourite sounds is in the intro to this:
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

There's a great bit of guitar in their 'it's a boy' track. Kind of builds up around the chorus a couple of times before 'boiling over' at the end into this glorious wall of fuzz. But the way it teeters on the edge earlier in the track is just amazing.whyterabbyt wrote:One of my favourite sounds is in the intro to this:

The sound of a pulse wave's duty cycle being modulated by an LFO.
The amen break.
The sound of people going about their business, children playing, and a gentle breeze blowing through foliage on a summer's day.
The sound of the water hitting my head when I sit down under the shower and block my ears and close my eyes.
