Not directly, arp/step sequencing plug-ins just send out MIDI. Maybe some output MIDI CCs that correspond to MW, PW, breath, expression etc? Something native to a host might do better with direct control over track automation sorts of parameters. There's a lot of variety in all the options, so kind of hard to generalize.iamyourfather wrote:Can an external ARP do the same as the zebra ARP where one can assign internal modulation routings to ARPmod ? Honest question as I've never used one.

If you are on a Mac, Numerology is a great solution. You can host the
synth and address internal parameters with modulation sequencers,
LFOs and envelopes, as well as generating note/gate/velocity etc.

I'm no MIDI expert...so I don't know how helpful this will be.
Here's a list from the Nodal Generative Music Software manual. It appears that Nodal can send many CC control messages. Would these be able to control the values you want to in Zebra? Nodal is much more than an arpeggiator, but it would certainly work as one. And, it can be set up to trigger sequences using midi notes from your keyboard.

A couple requests for an arp in Diva:
Allow it to output midi, not just to drive another synth but to record into your sequencer your arp patterns so they can be manually edited later.
Allow a mode similar to Catanya that lets you set an arp pattern on a per keystroke basis. Allowing different modes for this beyond Catanya ie. First played position and more than three notes.
A really flexible groove system would be ideal. Some sort of groove lock would be wonderful.

I really wouldn't like to see Diva bloated out with lots of intensive phrase sequencer/groove station-type features - if there is an arp and sequencer, it should be kinda based on what you'd get in the analog domain - perhaps with a few tweaks and improvements.
Diva provides inspiration in the sound department and I know midi note processing can be inspiring when you're in a creative slump, but making her perform as a "Midi Secretary" is just wrong
Just my opinion.

I think Diva needs a calculator built in so we can add up all these +1szvenx wrote:another +1pdxindy wrote:+1Bronto Scorpio wrote:+1Howard wrote:+1Sendy wrote:I really wouldn't like to see Diva bloated out with lots of intensive phrase sequencer/groove station-type features - if there is an arp and sequencer, it should be kinda based on what you'd get in the analog domain - perhaps with a few tweaks and improvements.

Have a look at Memormoon's arp. I like that one and it seems fairly vintage, simple, bloat-free but flexible. Just if Diva gets a very simple up-down affair I don't really see the need to add it at all. And I actually think if U-he made a really impressive stand-alone arp that would be better anyhow, allow anything to be driven by it without bloating out any other product.
